Hello Marko,
Thank you for your reply of a few weeks ago.Today I have updated all plugins to the latest version, including:
-
Elementor 2.8.1 to 2.8.5.
Updated Ocean Extra 1.5.19 to 1.5.20.
OceanWP 1.7.3 to 1.7.4.The site was not showing any problems after these updates.
Then I updated WordPress 5.2.5 to 5.3.2. After that update some featured images were not showing on the blog page.
So I deactivated all plugins one by one. After deactivating Ocean Extra 1.5.20 the missing featured images did show on the blog page … although their resolution is a bit fuzzy.
Here are the results from Inspect Element tests:
OCEAN EXTRA 1.5.20 ACTIVATED
<span class=”overlay”></span>
OCEAN EXTRA 1.5.20 DEACTIVATED
<span class=”overlay”></span>
This shows that the links to the featured images become UNKNOWN when Ocean Extra 1.5.20 is activated.
I am not using any image optimization plugins. And no caching plugins either.
Can you please help me resolve this problem?
Thank you!
In case anyone is interested, I have restored our website to how it was last week before the update that caused functionality in the website to FAIL.
I will do some testing on a clone of the website to isolate exactly what caused the problems.
Hi again, Sorry the link does not give access to the page I wanted to show you.
Hello OceanWP Support Team,
I deactivated all plugins one by one and found that Ocean Extra is causing the problem of Featured images not showing on the blog page after updating to WP 5.3.1.
When Ocean Extra is deacitvated, the Featured images THUMBNAILS appear — but as these are not the full Featured image they look very blurry.
See this in action on the staging site I created here.
Can someone please look in to this and help us?
Thank you.
Hi Marko,
Thanks for your response, much appreciated. I have tested many different Blog Entries combinations this morning but the Featured images are still not showing.I am not using any caching plugins in the site.
It seems as though the links to the images have broken somehow.
Any clues?
Dear Dave,
Have you had a chance to look at my recent reply?
I am using PHPMyAdmin. I found the row where the name is wp_site_url within wp_wfConfig but there is no URL there.
Is that normal?
Liz
Hello Dave,
Does my reply to you of 4 days ago help?
Hi Dave,
Thanks for your help.- I am using PHPMyAdmin.
- Yes I am sure it’s my website’s WP database.
- I can see the table wp_wfConfig in the list of tables.
- When I browse the wp_wfConfig table, I can see wp_site_url (and wp_home_url) at the end of the list of names.
- The row says: Edit Copy Delete wp_site_url [BLOB 28 B] yes.
- I don’t see a URL there.
What should I do next?
Hello Dave,
Have you had a chance to look at my recent reply? Here is the result that the SQL query returned:Error
SQL query: Documentationselect name, val from wp_wfconfig where name = ‘wp_site_url’ or name = ‘wp_home_url’ LIMIT 0, 25
MySQL said: Documentation#1146 – Table ‘scsmilec_wp21.wp_wfconfig’ doesn’t exist
Does that tell you why I am getting alerts about a domain that I am not an administrator of?
Hi Dave,
Yes you are right. The single quotes were replaced with 'I have now run the correct query. Here is the result:
Error
SQL query: Documentationselect name, val from wp_wfconfig where name = ‘wp_site_url’ or name = ‘wp_home_url’ LIMIT 0, 25
MySQL said: Documentation#1146 – Table ‘scsmilec_wp21.wp_wfconfig’ doesn’t exist
Does that help?
Thank you ??
Hi Dave,
Thank you for your response. I’m not sure if I ran the query correctly on my website’s database as I am not very familiar with SQL … but here is the message the query returned:Error
SQL query: Documentationselect name, val from wp_wfconfig where name = & LIMIT 0, 25
MySQL said: Documentation#1064 – You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘& LIMIT 0, 25’ at line 1
Please let me know what I need to do next.
I’ve given up on NextGEN gallery.
I have installed a different gallery plugin that works perfectly with my site.
So I am marking this topic as resolved.
I’ve contacted my hosting company and here is the debug.log message being triggered when I try to upload an image to a NextGEN gallery:
[29-Dec-2015 01:09:15 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: import_singular in /home/****/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_addgallery_page/templates/import_media_library.php on line 16
Can someone please help me with a solution so I can get my galleries working.
