Not sure if it’s you or mean, but I try to update, it says it’s completed and yet the file still shows as 2.8.4 and there is still an update available.

Double checking my end at the moment.

Whats the difference with multisite and shared?

The way I am using it is that if I have a Snippet that can be used on any subsite and not theme dependent, then I add it from the main site and Network Share it. I then go to each subsite that needs it and enable it. If I need it on every site I add it the same way but enable it network wide.

If it is something particular for only 1 subsite, but not theme dependent then I go to the subsite, add snippet and enable from there.

If it is something dependent on the theme, then I add to functions.php.

So when I am under a subsite and looking at the snippets. If I have Show All as the filter, then I get single subsite snippets but double the network snippets.

If I set the filter to shared on network (while still under the subsite) it then only shows a single instance of each network snippets.

Hopefully, this makes it clearer (for me anyway).

From what I can tell, the list under a subsite is showing the Network Shared Snippets + The Accessible Snippets. That second part means it lists its local and Network snippets adding to the initial network snippets.

If under a subsite you only show network shared snippets, it only shows 1 of each. If you show all that is mean it doubles up.

If need be I am more than happy to let you log in and see the issue on my site.

This is going to be very complex to get setup.

I am running my site on 3 servers (dev, staging and master) all code is done at dev level and pushed upwards to staging and master.

Then I pull the database down from Master to staging and dev.

This method technically works, but the moment I pull the database down, it is going to mean the mu-plugin will end up being disabled as it would be on master.

Isn’t there any other method that will let me just use a define() in the wp-config or something more elegant that the above?

Any update to this. With many snippets, it is getting very crowded and confusing with double of all the network enabled ones.

I can’t even find the option to import from Media Library. Help files seem to be dated.

Just took a look at the snippets, and when looking at snippets via a sub site, there are duplicates there. I have 8 snippets in the Network section, and all of those are in the sub site twice each.

Still having issues. Originally you guys blamed the Coming Soon Mode the site was in, but the site is now live, and the problem still exists.

I still can only log in once, then never again after that using social logins.

But that’s not what I want.

I want the ability to have media in my search results. It is a photography site after all. And all my photos are tagged in such a way to return as results in searches.

I simply want to find a way to set a weighting on what type of content gets what priority in the results. In my case I would want, Posts then Media then Pages.

Sorry to revive an oldish thread, but I couldn’t find anywhere else to ask.

Now, I wanted to do what this thread explains, but it seems this only changes the quality of the images displayed in the content.

This is fine but I have a problem that goes 1 step further. On my site, I have jetpack carousel running. On the image that is in the lightbox, the quality tag doesn’t work.

If I manually add &quality=100 to the image source it works.

I currently cannot find a way to fix this without modifying the jetpack plugin code.

The code I need to change is in jetpack-carousel.js line 1031. I can then add the &quality= part to the img src.

Does anyone know of a way to add this either via changing the URL on the fly, dynamically adding the &quality= to the URL or by overriding the whole js file with a modified copy in the theme folder. I would like to do this hopefully via my functions.php file or a separate plugin if I really have to.

I have just finished spending hours on check for plugin conflicts, logging out, trying a social login again and so forth.

Cannot find anything that conflicts with it, or anything that even changes the behaviour in any way (good or bad, a change is a sign of what might be causing the issues).

Still properly logs in the first time around.

What I did notice on subsequent logins thou, is that my profile ties the account back to my profile. It’s like the social login logins assign the user account but fail to tell WordPress that I am logged in. If that makes sense?

First, you may need to let me know when you’re ready to look. I forgot that WP Security is locking out non-Australian IP’s from the login.

I still don’t understand why you’re on about Open Graphs. I have Open Graphs and am fully aware of how it works. Been doing this for quite a while now. The problem with the Social Sharing at the top and bottom of a post is that when you share it, the Title of the sharing icons, the one you set to go just above the sharing icons, is being inserted at the start of the blog text for Open Graphs. The icons are not and therefore the widget is not being entered. For some reason, the sharing title is being included as the main part of the text. Also if I put anything else at the top (like I have a ratings system that I can place at the top) they all work fine and are not included in the shared text.

Also again, Open Graphs are irrelevant for the Widget. In my sidebar, I have a widget for the social sharing. It is contained in a box with a Title of the widget. When you set the Before Text field in the widget settings, that text is shown outside the box right before the title of the widget. Not in or with the title as such but a bit before where is sits at the top of the bordered box that the widget is inside of.
