  • After the WP update, an auto pop up using the lightbox theme wouldn’t work on the checkout page in WooCommerce, Storefront theme. Infact only half the checkout page would show. Deactivating plugins etc., made no difference. Health Check never spotted any errors.

    In the end the only solution I could find was to recreate each popup manually. Once I had done this and replaced the existing popups that didn’t work, with these newly created ones they worked fine.

    Same settings, everything was a duplicate in this newly created popups. I have no idea why they now work, but this was the only solution that worked for me.

    Hi,

    I do backups and have been using your script for some time, it was more a case if anyone had experienced any issues, as this seemed to be quite big update in the sense the ReCaptcha has moved to another file etc., and the update only happened 3 days ago.

    I’ll let you know if there are any issues.

    Thanks

    Yes I was using a3 lazy load. The only way I could resolve the issue was to turn off ‘Lazy Load Videos and iframes’ within the settings.

    After a couple of hours adjusting and rolling back plugins, this may have been a coincidence and Google had changed the Recaptcha version 2 code. Whatever the problem, the solution involved me having to re-configure the lazy load plugin I use. The problem was then resolved. Thought I’d mention it for any others having any problems.

    Thanks for the response, as this is a client’s website, I’d rather not post this on an open forum. As far as I am aware there is no way of sending a private message, but I can email a link if this is possible.

    Regardless of this, the PDF link will work on any sample URL I provide, because as mentioned it only doesn’t work when I believe the ‘Preload’ has completed.

    Thanks once again.

    Same problem, I resolved this the same way, by rolling back to Foo Gallery 1.4.8.

    Essentially when using paging, only the first 4 use the Lightbox, plus if you try to use the arrows when in the lightbox to move to the next picture in the gallery, only the first four will show.

    Looking online, there are various plugins etc having the same issue and it appears to be WooCommerce related. Although I admit I am no javascript expert, the only solution I can find so far that ‘works’ in that it appears to reload the relevant stars etc after the page has loaded is by adding below. In my circumstance this I added to the ‘theme customisation’ plugin. Although I assume it could also be added to the relevant javascript child theme. It’s not the ideal solution but until someone comes up with something better, this will have to suffice!

    // required fields for checkout form
    jQuery( document ).ready( function($) {

    setTimeout( function() {

    jQuery(‘label[for=”billing_state”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);
    jQuery(‘label[for=”shipping_state”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);
    jQuery(‘label[for=”billing_postcode”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);
    jQuery(‘label[for=”shipping_postcode”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);
    jQuery(‘label[for=”billing_city”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);
    jQuery(‘label[for=”shipping_city”]’).append(‘ <abbr class=”required” title=”required”>*</abbr>’);

    }, 1000 );

    } );

    Sorry for hijacking this query, but I have exactly the same problem with only street address showing as required. However as ospiotr has mentioned they are set correctly because they disappear after the page has loaded and I am informed they have to be filled in if I try and post the form.

    Nevertheless as he mentioned I have also deactivated all third party plug-ins and taken out all custom css etc., but still the problem remains. I am also using StoreFront.

    I would also like to add I have had this issue, with two other checkout field plugins I have tried.

    This would suggest there is something going on with Woocommerce or Storefront, although it still doesn’t offer a workaround I’m afraid ??

    Thanks for responding so quickly. That’s a pity. My main issue, is not so much it has to turn off, it’s more a case of the two not working in sync. In other words either they both should turn off or stay on when only one product is available.

    Anyway thanks again.
