Hi Liz,
thanks so much for your post and advice. I contacted my web provided Godaddy and did a basic check on the website and they said it looks ok.I further removed WordPress and JetPack. After removing JetPack it seems to have fixed the duplication. Thanks again.

In reply to: [Page View Count] Not working in WP 5.2.1Update:
I had been running the latest version of the Page View Count plug-in successfully until I updated WordPress (same PHP and same MySQL versions).?WordPress: 5.2.1 (requires 4.6 or greater) OK
?PHP version 5.6 (requires 5.6.0 or greater) OK
?MySQL version 5.0 (requires 5.6 or greater) NOT OK–>Could MySQL version cause this? Sadly, my doman hosting says I’m on a legacy server and may need to pay to upgrade MySQL version from 5.0 to 5.6. I will confirm again tonight.
Thanks for the quick response, Steve. I restored 2.0.2 fro ma WordPress VaultPress backup easily (didn’t realize how easy that was). And the data/settings for this plug-in remained as you said-even after deleting the Plugin folder. ??
I did find an option in my host admin control panel to upgrade from PHP 5.3 to 5.6. I will try that and hope that the upgrade doesn’t affect other plug-ins. Thanks for your support.

In reply to: [Page View Count] Where is view data? Please fix the latest build: 2.3.0.3 It has fatal errors since it auto-installed and cannot re-activate:
“Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in /home/content/03/xxxx/html/wp-content/plugins/not page-views-countBAK/admin/admin-ui.php on line 37
Also, How to restore a backup once it’s fixed?
-Where are the settings kept?
-Where is all the data kept?Thank you for your help, great plug-in and have been using for years.
I’m experiencing the same thing: site went offline after latest update 2.0.3 with same error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting ‘,’ or ‘;’ in “/home/content/03/xxx/html/wp-content/plugins/page-views-count/admin/admin-ui.php on line 37”
I also had to rename the plug-in to pull it offline.
Please fix as this is a very useful plug-in for me.I’m running the latest version of WordPress and no changes have been made to anything on my site since at least a day before the auto update of the plug-in.
Also, which sub-file contains all my page counts and settings and needs to be restored once this is working?
Same error for me (Premium member):
Wordfence Live Activity: Call to Wordfence API to resolve IPs failed: WordFence API error: The Wordfence key you’re using is not valid. Make sure you copied it correctly from https://www.wordfence.com.Same problem. Please fix, I too have a paid Premium Key.
