Since solving this makes this ticket into more of a feature request then an actual bug I’m closing the ticket. Thanks.
Great, AT LEAST I found out the reason for this one.
The absolute path needs slashes to work: /absolutepath/
The parent path needs slash after to work: parentfolder/This is just ridiculous. Why are there three fields for folder names and no explanation that the content of those fields obviously just gets combined without adding slashes?
Why the change from ONE field where you enter the FULL PATH like every dev would?

Thanks for your reply! Will try that. But is it possible to do this automatically in any way? I have three websites with shared events, and those sites are not a multisite-network. But I need to update events on the fly – basically when an event is created or changed.
Thank you Jeffrey! GitHub issue is here: https://github.com/10up/distributor/issues/620
Commented there, too.
And an additonal question: It seems the the custom fields of custom post types sometimes only get distributed if you republish the distributed post on the receiving site. Is it possible to automatically trigger republishing of a freshly distributed and published post? (E.g. when I distribute an event it’s marked as “not bookable” on the receiving site till I hit the publish button again. Seems to happen with more custom information in different post types created by plugins.)
