Thanks. Monkeyed with the permalinks and still nothing. What I did was change the theme after I posted before, inserted a newly uploaded image and everything was fine. I now have the original page back and tried with a newly uploaded image and still same problem

Thanks for your reply. I just did that and as the page loaded, the correct number showed up for like a second and then it switched to the other unknown number. I even re-typed the correct one on the edit page to see what would happen.

yeah. I see what you guys mean. I used FF and it took me to the login page as well. Any idea why it is doing that?

Thanks. So do I have to temporarily remove the static front page and make it a normal blog and then after I import the posts put it back to the static front page? That’s my question.

I have a WP site that is the web site. I have another install that is the blog. Same server. I want to import the posts from WP install 2 into the main site

I solved the problem. I just went with a different theme I like better and is less hassle. ??

Could be. I use IE when I think there’s a cache issue since I don’t use IE. ??

I’ve tried everything. Although I think it might have returned to normal right after I posted my message. Weird! Ghosts in the machine.
