It’s the standard crappy doc file that is provided with CMS systems, these days.

Seriously, folks.
I’ve spnt the better half of a week, trying to create a better site via CMS, and all of the existing platforms suck.

WordPress sucks. Mambo Sucks- all of ya’ll suck.

CMS platforms, as they now exist, are a vast circle-jerk among the geeks of the world, and quite frankly, I have no time for them.

blow me.

Okay- you got me- I was too busy in my formative years getting laid and drinking beer, and I didn’t spend my time in my parent’s attic, divining the secrets of PHP and databases, while leering at naked pictures of Seven of Nine.

You have me- I’m a stupid plebe- laugh away- whee!

Where the hell does someone go to understand the arcana of CMS- in plain english, por favor.

I’m not a newcomer to websites, or computers- I’ve been running and developing websites for over a decade. I know every piece of multimedia and HTML editing software (mac and PC) there is. I learned how to edit video on a media 100 setup in fifteen minutes…

But CMS is insane- it makes no goddamned sense- the documentation of Mambo, Grey Matter, and WordPress is laughable, and the only mode of support is these forums.

We come to these fourms for desperate help, and when our questions aren’t answered, we’re laughed at, and called “stupid”.

Is this “revenge of the nerds” writ large, or is this a genuine forum for assistance?

Good lord- can anyone out there speak plain english, and help someone out with a step-by-step process to understand this thing?

so- you’re telling me, that wordpress’s current version doesn’t contain elementary, necessary scripts required for site maintenance, and I have to get them from “older versions”?

This is absurd- am I to hand my site over to the tender mercies of a CMS that’s developed by a company that can’t be bothered to provide the scripts and pages required for the most fundamental aspects of web maintenance?

Bullplop- there is no such URL or PHP file.

Am I to assume, from here on out, since the documentation has incorrect information in it, I cannot believe any of it?
