Tom, I’m looking for the same basic thing, albeit for hockey.
My dream is a tool that allows me to input a single game’s box score (including team and player stats) — then have the tool populate relevant data on team- and player-specific pages. This may be asking too much of WP; I don’t know.
The one thing I’ve found, along with your post, is a plugin called LeagueManager (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/leaguemanager/). No idea how it works. Have you had any luck?
