In reply to: [Digg Digg] After upgrade to WordPress 3.8 pluguin don't work on Chrome@mike: I see it on your blog, using Chrome on Mac 32.0.1700.107.
I’m having the same issue, but with a Woo theme.
It’s the file change detection – it’s so resource heavy that it’s an unusable feature.
I saw that. Is there any way to keep it from showing in the site’s Settings menu?
Free membership levels won’t work – the ‘membership’ is the sale of a networked site. Having a private area is specific to one single networked site (ie subsite). I don’t think I want to turn PMPro on for that subsite, so I’m trying to figure out the best way to have a private area with protected content without resorting to password-protecting everything.

In reply to: Changing multisite domain without needing to move filesAll done, nice & smooth. Thanks!

In reply to: Changing multisite domain without needing to move filesThankfully the location is the same so a search/replace for the base should be all I’m looking for, no?
JMM doesn’t seem to work for my purpose – it seems to allow network users to join a specific site. MURM – despite it’s poorly chosen text – allows non-network users to become a subscriber (or other role) on a subsite (and of course become a network user in the process). So it seems that JMM & MURM serve two different purposes, and MURM is what I needed. Thankfully I can use js to change the bad text.
Regardless, I appreciate your suggestion very much – thanks again!
Great, will give it a shot – the default text on the form for MURM is awful.
Thanks – I finally found the setting to turn on user signups yesterday (right where you said). The subsite sign I resolved with the plugin ‘Multisite User Registration Manager’ but ‘Join My Multisite’ looks nicer. Does it have an option to remove the ‘gimme a site’ option?

In reply to: [Multisite User Registration Manager] Customize Murm-FormI second this – the default text is awfully geeky. Who the hell knows what ‘diacritics’ are?! Plus in the US ‘required’ is used most commonly rather than ‘mandatory.’

In reply to: [InfiniteWP Client] Phishing alertDamn – I just ran a virus scan on my cpanel and this is what I got:
public_html/wp-content/plugins/iwp-client.zip {HEX}a2.brazilbank.phish.1.UNOFFICIAL public_html/wp-content/plugins/iwp-client/core.class.php {HEX}a2.brazilbank.phish.1.UNOFFICIAL public_html/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/iwp-client.zip {HEX}a2.brazilbank.phish.1.UNOFFICIAL public_html/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/iwp-client/core.class.php {HEX}a2.brazilbank.phish.1.UNOFFICIAL
The .zip is what I just downloaded from www.ads-software.com! I’m deleting the plugin until we get to the bottom of this.
Wow that was quick – the 404 Redirected plugin was causing the reload issue AND the ssl problem. Turning off ‘create automatic redirects’ fixed it.
