Hi,
Thank you for reporting the problem.
Can you copy the page URL and paste it here? I mean the page address you’re seeing in the browser address bar when you get the 404 error. It would help us investigate it.
Thank you

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] Installation bugHi David,
We rolled out an updated plugin version with a fix for this issue. Mass plugins activation should now work fine when Ecwid is in the list.
Thank you,
Hi Gérald,
Thank you for the report. We will look into it.
Meanwhile, as you suggested, you can disable the plugin so it won’t show the error message.
Thanks,
Hi Gilbert,
Your review made our day.
Thank you!
@escobarysanchez , that option is automatically enabled and hidden for the customers who signed up after we implemented it. So, your store already has it and it’s enabled.

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] Wrong canonicalsSorry for the delay.
Thanks for the examples. I will comment below:
When i go to: site:mivestuariolaboral.com inurl:gafas at page 4 i see: GAFAS SEGURIDAD PARA CASCOS DE OBRA – Vestuario Laboral
I managed to replicate that. It seems like some links lead to the old pages on your site (e.g. https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/gafas-de-seguridad/gafas-de-seguridad). Those pages redirect to the home page, but the Ecwid part of the URL doesn’t change for some reason. We will look into it.
The good news is that all of those pages have valid canonical URLs, as far as I can see, so Google will eventually re-index them with valid URLs.
wrong url with canonical pointing to same url https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/-p93871085
This page has a valid canonical URL: https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/TAPONES-PARA-OIDO-CON-ARNES-BOLSA-DE-1-PAR-p93871085 . So, as far as I can see, it works properly. Let me know if I miss anything here.
This url is not correct: https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/Vestuario+Laboral+Desechable-c11650009
but this: https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/Vestuario-Laboral-Desechable-c11650009
However, the 2 urls have a different canonical, so Google will consider it duplicate content.I checked those pages and it seems like they have the same canonical URL: https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/Vestuario-Laboral-Desechable-c11650009 . So, again, this should help Google to index the right versions of the URLs.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] Wrong canonicalsThanks. So, I inspected those pages. As far as I can see the URL #1 redirects to the new URL and the canonical tag of the page is as follows:
<link rel="canonical" href="https://www.mivestuariolaboral.com/GAFAS-INCOLORAS-PARA-CASCOS-DE-OBRA-p44773278" />
That seems correct. Do you see the same behavior? Can you describe what behavior you expect and why?

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] Wrong canonicalsHi there,
Thanks for the report.
Ecwid should put valid canonicals and redirect old links to the new ones when the URL is changed. So, what you described sounds like a bug. Can you provide an example of a URL where the canonical tag is incorrectly generated so we can replicate it ourselves and investigate?
Great! The store looks nice with the new storefront. And it’s certainly more SEO-friendly now.
The only thing left from the list is the clean URLs:
> 3) Enable clean URLs in the Ecwid plugin settings — this is a must for SEO. Navigate to the Ecwid/Advanced settings in your WordPress admin backend and tick the “Clean SEO friendly URLs” checkbox there.I still recommend enabling them as this can be of a significant help for SEO.
Helena,
We found a bug and are fixing it now. It will be released with the next plugin version.
Helena,
I checked on a few of other sites and haven’t replicated the issue. So, it might be related to some specific part of your site. I also checked it with the Ocean WP theme which seems to be the one you’re using. No luck yet — the search works fine in my tests.
It’s clearly replicated on your site though. I was able to see what you see. So, let’s try a few things to locate the issue.
Can you try disabling the “Site Search Integration” function in the Ecwid plugin to check if it is causing the problem. How to do that:
– Open your WP admin backend
– Navigate to Ecwid / Advanced
– Untick the “Integration with search on your site (beta)” checkbox
– Save the changes
– Clear caches (if you are using any cache plugin)
– Refresh your site page in browser and check the search again — does it work? Please let us know what you find.
Thanks,
Hi Helena,
Thanks for the report, we’re looking into the issue. Will update this thread soon.

In reply to: [Ecwid by Lightspeed Ecommerce Shopping Cart] PHP 7 ErrorsHi Chris,
Thanks for sending the report over to us. The Ecwid plugin works properly with the latest versions of PHP. All of the errors listed (even those marked with ‘ERROR’) are not actually affecting the plugin. We tested it on the newest PHP versions and made sure everything works fine.
The thing is the automatic validator you used made a static analysis — it just saw the outdated function in the code, but it doesn’t know whether that function is actually used or not. The functionality itself has fallbacks for the environments where those functions are not supported. So you can use it with PHP 7.1, 7.2, it works fine.
Anyway, it’s better to not see any warnings even during a check, so we will work on preventing those from appearing.
Thanks again,
