blog posts do drop off.. i have seen posts rank for a while and then suddenly drop or disappear

also.. get more content on it first

No dude.. just go under ADMIN and under USERS and uncheck the box at the bottom.. then post.. it will work trust me

ok a while back i was told to use the text control.. dont.. remove the plugin and just go under admin and under users and at the bottom uncheck the little box for the HTML EDITOR i forget what its called again now..

as this is what causes the stripping to happen

then use a blog editor like blogjet or what i use post2blog..

depends what your trying to do..

if you set it to no formatting.. it will mess things up.. what do you need it for

Now we need to know how to have it so that each page displays a META DESCRIPTION any ideas?

I would like my main blog homepage to have a specific meta description and my post pages to take the met adescription from some of the post

any ideas, or plugins

make sure you have even got the folder called UPLOADS

common problem with 2.02 it doesnt create this folder yet in the admin it points to all uploads will go to

wp-content/uploads

if you dont have uploads folder go create it.. in wp-content then chmod wp-content to 7777 and that will do it..

be sure to log out of amdin

I dont see many sites in the top 10 that are wordpress sites do you? in fact i dont see many type page ones either.. i wonder if google consider blogs not sites and wont rank them aswell

and lets say my current template uses INDEX.PHP for the first page to display are you saying.. dont use the plugin, just load up dreamweaver and create a blank php page and name it home.php and upload it. and then that will become my homepage? if that is correct would i then delete the index.php after?

I was told i should use a plugin https://www.ilfilosofo.com/blog/home-page-control/ to do the homepage thing.. this way i would be using a PAGE for a homepage.. my quesiton though is what would happen to the thing that usually shows it.. will that disappear what is the name of it. home.php or index.php

Will those category templates let me TYPE on them.. like a page??

Reason is usually when you click on a category page it just lists your posts from new to oldest.. what if i want information text on that page.. how can i type on that category page?
