I had the same problem. Fixed it by first making sure “Activate by Expert Mode” was unchecked (I really overestimated my abilities!). Then after you select your list, go to the area for “Order the posts in the list by this field” and choose from the drop down “EC3 Start.” I also changed “Order the List of Post” to ascending order.
If EC3 Start isn’t listed on the drop down, you could always turn the Expert Mode back on, go to the same field and type in “ec3_start.”
