  • For those of you who are having export/import function problem in TableMaker when using Mac Excel, I may have a solution. Go to Save File As and select “Windows Comma Separated (csv)” in Specialty Formats section as your export format. Make sure the saved filed has .csv extension. This is the only format that worked from Mac. Just saving the file as Common Formats csv file will not work.

Also, if your exporting data has any foreign accent marks, then that particular cell will be blank when imported. Only solution I had for that was just copy and paste once the TableMaker table is established.

    Hello,
I love this easy to use Table Maker and created many small tables. Now, I need to import a large csv file. As a test, I exported an Excel file as a csv file, 5 columns x 5 rows and the file shows .csv extension.

I open a new table, empty content, and browse and pick the above csv file. It does import. However, it imports as single row and 25 columns and only show the first 5 columns.

Could you shed some light on this matter? I would very much like to import a csv file with over 5 columns by 500 rows.
