Can someone help on this, turning off the Super Cache doesn’t seem to solve the problem.

It is still giving the problem even the Super Cache is deactivated and cache pages deleted. By the way, deleting the cache pages will it affects the Super Cache functions when we decide to switch on the Cache later?

Yes, we posted an announcement on the Top Story to advise readers on switching to different browser. If you are seeing this announcement, the site is not giving problem to your browser. Several readers are calling in to say they are seeing outdated articles on different browsers. If that problem occurred in their browser, not just the Top Story section is displaying outdated articles, the entire page is.

Yes, we are using WP Super Cache 0.9 version.

    Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for replying.

For example a new article posted to the Top Story section on the Home page will not appear in some browsers (ex. google chrome). Instead an old article will appear on the Top Story section.

My Firefox and IE does not have this problem as it is displaying the latest article. If I launch the site in google chrome, it displayed an old article from the Other Stories section. It does not load the newest article even if I refresh the page load.

Some readers are experience this prblem in Firefox and IE, but not in google chrome.

We only have this problem after upgrading to v 2.7.1. So I don’t think it has to do with any plugins.

    Thanks

    Hi Michael,

In fact I just posted a question minutes ago on how to revert my site to v. 2.7.

I had upgraded to v 2.7.1 and it is giving problem on the database.

Where is the option button to ‘reinstall v 2.7’?

    Hi Mike,

I use the wp_list_pages (‘exclude=id nos’). It didn’t work. It has generated any tag at the end of the nav bar, here.
Any idea where this line should be placed in the header.php?

    Hi Michael,

I have the same question as Willpower1, which I do not want the newly created page appearing on the nav bar. I have gone thru the links you given, but couldn’t figure it out.

I test it on my developer site here. What I did is, I created a new page called “Breaking News” and I have Visibility checked as “Private”. Next, I created a hyperlink, “Go to Breaking News” on any page, in this case the link is on the page “Join Us” and point to the new page, Breaking News.

It works, but the newly created page carry the Private at the title. I do not want the Private appear on the page. What is the correct way of doing it?

    Hi Figaro,

    Thanks for the advice.

Ok, to back up wp-content, do you mean copying all the files in wp-content into my local drive using FTP?
And how do I go about backing up the database using tool like phpAdmin tool. Where can I get phpAdmin tool? Can you walk me thru as I have never done this before?

On another note, I wonder if in the Admin/Dashboard, under Tools/Export/ click on “Download Export File” is going to backup the articles / posts and all that. Do someone has any leads?

    Hi Demonbuy,

I got it fixed. The comments are displaying the way I wanted it. Thanks for the code.

    Hi Demonboy,

I have been posting the same question in this forum and still haven’t received any fixed to display the newer comments at the top of the page. I had set the dropdown listing to “newer” at the admin/setting/discussion, and it doesn’t work at all!

I have been to the “latest Link” you provided and it mentioned: “The trick is to reverse …..” – the line disappeared from there and I am not able to figure out the instruction. Do you think you can provide me the complete instruction here. This is most appreciated as I have been anxious to fix this for quite a long time.

    Plse help.

Hi, does anyone has any leads in how to display the newer comments at the top of the page. I have selected the “newer” in the dropdown list at setting/discussion but somehow, it is not responding. It is still displaying the older ones at the top.

    My site is https://theonlinecitizen.com/

    Hi Samboll,

Had set the dropdown listing to the “newer” at the Discussion setting and it is still displaying the older comments at the top of the page.

    Is there any leads?

    Thanks,

Hi, yes, I removed the additional title link at Admin/Manage/Page/ blank out the title at the Title field. It works though.
