Hi I really appreciate your creating this. However I’m not getting the expected result. I pasted in the entire code as a snippet and activated it. It didn’t look like I was meant to change anything. When I sent a Vendor New Order notification this is what the subject line looks like – it changed, but not in a good way. ??
And here is the snippet as saved & activated:
Was I supposed to do something other that use the snippet as is? The test order was indeed 0.00 total (I can see that in there) so it is going in the right direction.
When I deactivate the snippet and resend, it goes back to the old way of:
SITE NAME – New Order – James Cone- #104466- This reply was modified 2 years, 2 months ago by eftcolumbus.
To add (won’t let me edit), currently as you know it has the merge tags of: Order # and first and last name of buyer in the subject line. I would like to insert a tag that displays the order total. So subject line would be something like “Website – $199 – First Last – Order #12034” where $199 is the order total. The other 3 are already there.
Thank you for giving me the updated link, but the new link does not answer my question. I already know how to access the templates. My question is:
Hi, is there a merge tag I can insert into the subject line for the Vendor so that my Vendors can see the order total without opening the email? I’m referring to the email “Vendor Notify Order”
OK I’m willing to concede if you say this guy tanohex is answering support tickets and he is not on your team. But then that means your team did not answer my very big issue support ticket in 5 days, which isn’t as bad as saying it isn’t an issue, but it’s still not responsive support to such a big problem.
Also there was another support ticket from probably 12 days ago reporting the same problem which has been deleted in the last day or two (why?) that was at the URL https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/psa-ensure-proper-username-pw-after-update/ (got this from my browsing history) where this issue was reported. He was also told it wasn’t an issue, but with it having been deleted I can’t tell who said that.
I’m glad you are finally doing something about warnings now several weeks after the release, BUT you should also tell people to copy and paste their credentials before updating because if you set up your sending with a 3rd party many years ago like I did, it can be very time consuming to find those credentials again. I would have had no problems or complaints if you had the warning to Copy credentials before updating and then paste them after the update.
There IS an issue with the update. Your plugin stops working after updating. That’s a HUGE issue. Now it may be a simple fix, but if you don’t know it happens or what to do about it, that makes it an ISSUE for your end user.
Imagine you updated your phone software and you stopped being able to receive phone calls. But you don’t know it because they didn’t tell you (even though they baked it into the update) so you miss all those calls that you didn’t know were not coming in. You finally find out a week later. Then Apple says Not our fault, you just have to go to this page here and enter a username and password we gave you five years ago. Would you be frustrated? Why didn’t they tell you to that when updating? Why wasn’t there a warning or notice ahead of time to make note of the credentials before you updated and erased them?
When there are big updates with Elementor or Woocommerce, they add warnings to the update of what to do before updating, like make a backup of your site. My search plugin put a warning that it was not backward compatible with their previous versions and what to do in advance. I could give lots of other examples. You could easily have said “Copy your username and password before updating and paste them in to the settings page after updating” That’s all it would have taken to prevent all these users having the same ISSUE.
Instead you made us have to find out the hard way it stopped working, then I have NO idea where I got my username and password in the first place it was 5 years ago. And then you pretend it’s not a problem.
So I installed FLUENT SMTP and during their installation process, they asked if I wanted to use the username and PW from the WP SMTP plugin and I said yes, and my emails started sending straight away.
I still have no idea where I would find the username and password I had used, so I definitely did not provide it, it only knew it from finding it in WP SMTP. If FLUENT could find it in your data, then why couldn’t you?

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Elementor Compatiblity? You might want to try testing with Elementor it’s free and they have millions of users. They are the most popular page builder. A suggestion too would be adding an elementor widget, that is very popular feature in other plugins.
By the time I got your reply, it was too late for me to embed any poll (I only had a single use needed), so I can’t give you any new feedback. I can tell you that I copy paste the shortcode, and I only have one key on my (english) keyboard for the quote ” and in your reply both of the quotes you pasted look identical to me, so there is no other key I could use to substitute a different “.

In reply to: [AudioIgniter Music Player] Only Elementor Widget if buy proBy extra steps I mean having to open a plugin outside of elementor to create the item where you don’t have available your elementor global colors etc, then get the shortcode, then open elementor and copy and paste it into elementor shortcode widget. And probably some more styling in elementor like margins/padding. If you want to play with the styling til you get it how you want, back you go to the audio plugin to adjust it.
That’s why we all wants widgets inside of elementor. I can also copy paste from other elementor pages for new instances and just quickly update the link (again, inside of elementor.

In reply to: [Duplicate Page] Compatible with PHP 8.+?Great, thank you.
Thank you, turns out a few other of my important plugins aren’t fully tested for PHP 8 yet so looks like I will probably have to wait a few months anyway. Good to know though.

In reply to: [Password Strength Settings for WooCommerce] Anyone used 3.0 is it stable?Ok it’s been about a month.
After updating on my dev, the only thing I found is that “hint” was visible. The hide hint box was no longer checked. I rechecked that box and it went away again.
Same thing on live. It has continued to work as expected.

In reply to: Erase Personal Data for entire Site (staging)Sorry for delay I didn’t get a notification that I got a response.
I need the whole site functionality, it’s primarily for when a plugin isn’t acting as expected and the plugin author/tech support needs to figure out what the problem is.
I have 50 plus plugins, I don’t know how many snippets, child theme, I think it would take a long time to create all the functionality and then import pages/products.
And if it’s not exactly like my live site, then their testing could/would be useless.
OK thanks for letting me know, looks like I will have to hold off updating for now then. Do you have timeline? And are you compatible with 7.4?
Hello?
