Resolved it:

Changed the “Read” settings of wordpress to: Static page -> “template page”

That worked, but now i had 2 times the button Home (as i also named the new template page “Home”).

I removed this, the Home button code from the header:
<li class=”page_item”>/”><?php _e(‘Home’, ‘mandigo’); ?>

and now only my new HOME template is showing up as the homepage!

Good question, because the gallery is made up of media that you posted on the post or page.

So if you upload a image to post A it wont show up in the gallery for post B.

Maybe a plugin would be the solution

The address above, is that the correct address for your NEW website?
If so, it seems wordpress can’t write the folders. Try manually making the folder /2009/03 in your wp-content/uploads/2009/03.

If it works then, then you know something is wrong with permissions.

BTW, do you have any plugin active? I once had a simular problem, and it was a plugin i was using that conflicted with the image uploads.
