Hi Tobias,
Of course, the -2 was missing. It works as expected now. Red ears here … ;O)
The special characters are always a problem.
Thanks for your quick answer.
Best regards,
EigilHi Tobias,
This time the insertion was total – and all table attributes are shown in the Plugin Options panel.
Thank you for your patience.
I have ordered a “cup of coffee” for you ;O)

EigilHi Tobias,
Yes, I could paste a copy of a slighter older version of instructions into Plugin Options, but I was not sure, if this would interfere negatively with the inserted part.
Also – I am a bit curious about how to actually restore the (slightly newer) backed up data, which are formatted for insertion and would demand some fiddling to be converted manually (provided the written version did not exist).
I suppose the backed up data reflects the actual settings from the header at the backup time, so why is the data part not restored too?
This is the actual backed up tablepress_plugin_options file:

EigilHi Tobias,
This went ok:
The tablepress_tables record revived the id=3 table in the All Tables interface. Everything about the table(s) seem to be working fine now. This created a mystery:
The tablepress_plugin_options is a very long record with a lot of formatting instructions. When I inserted it in wp_options, the process finished ok.But, only the header is visible in the field option_value in wp_options, with this look:
{“plugin_options_db_version”:34,”table_scheme_db_version”:3,”prev_tablepress_version”:”1.8″,”tablepress_version”:”1.8″,”first_activation”:0,”message_plugin_update”:true,”message_donation_nag”:true,”use_custom_css”:true,”use_custom_css_file”:true,”custom_css”:””,”custom_css_minified”:””,”custom_css_version”:0}
(Tobias and the donation panel became visible, and I’ll bear in mind the good idea ;O)
Only – all formatting data stayed out of sight, fx:
/* Tabel 3, Miniatombomber, tryk.*\\/\\n.tablepress-id-3 .column-1 {\\n\\twidth: 20%;\\n}\\n\\n.tablepress-id-3 .column-2 {\\n\\twidth: 80%;\\n}\\n\\n\\– where could it be? and the Plugin Options interface is still blank.

EigilHi Tobias,
Please open this file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ysk39vlvuensfjo/forklaring%20til%20udtr%C3%A6k%20af%20tabeller.txt?dl=0It’s an example of corresponding tablepress-records in the WordPress database.
My problem is that this TablePress-table does not show up in TablePress-> All Tables.
Not yet, anyway ;O)
Best regards,
EigilHi Tobias,
Very good – thank you.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] Changing my opinionI have changed my rating from 4 to 5 starts after 4 months with the TablePress plugins. It’s a great system. Tobias is always only an e-mail away, and apparently he never sleeps.
My best recommandations.
EigilHi Tobias,
Just what I had in mind. And sorry for the delay.
An appreciation is on its way.

EigilHi Tobias,
Yes, I prefer the admin area to be in English.
And I thought that the TP Extension would save me from altering the shortcode for each table – i.e. it would override the package language regarding Table Press as a whole. Why else use an extension?
Regards,
EigilHi Tobias,
Think I have followed your installation instruction, but …
Please take a look here: https://ask4photos.com/kunst-og-illustrationer-art-illustrations/
Did not change anything in the lang-da_DK.json file as it is fine as is.
Only, I still get the English texts. What have I missed?

EigilHi Tobias,
Thanks for the workaround.
Just remember: the perfect code does not exist, bugs are resistant creatures. Thank you for your great Work.

EigilSame problem here since I upgraded to 1.5.1.

In the advanced editor the Insert Link option will not save the content. No link is created.

EigilHi Tobias,
Very good assistance.
Here is the total group of images (about 50% reduced in the browser): https://screencast.com/t/53kUOQAS
And here is how the solution behaves when “squeezed” horizontally in IE-11 !!
https://screencast.com/t/8BTk0GfGaK3d
It behaves equally nice in Chrome and Safari (and Firefox I presume – my pc is flushed with ads every time I open Firefox these days).
In Opera it is difficult to tell, as the limit for narrowing the browser horizontally is about 10 cm on my screen. This is a break-through in my work, because the book I am digitizing at the moment is full of images arranged in the same way.
In an other thread you asked the client, why he didn’t use a common image managing program for this purpose (as an alternative to tables), and I looked for a image-program that would limit itself to represent the family-pictures in rows and columns, dead stabile, as in my old paper albums. What I found was galleries and galleries that insist on wrapping every small collection of images into an animated viewer.
Just to answer in advance.
Kind regards,

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] ResponsivenessHi Tobias,
Thank you for the references. I have rated TablePress as you suggested (not really knowing what I am talking about – yet). I had to leave space for improvement, but overall your product is impressing.

In reply to: [TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy] ResponsivenessHi Tobias,
Thank you for the perspective. I think the horisontal scrolling is a fair solution to at complex problem.
Another question: I have been loking for at complete list from instructions to the .tablepress call, preferable with a line or two of explanation to each. Does it exist? I have been fishing here and there, but is still missing the instructions for dimentioning a table(the total table) and for its horizontal justification (left – center – right) within the outer borders.Thank you also for your pleasant and timely service.
Kind regards,
Eigil
