In reply to: Accelerate Theme — Responsive Menu collapseGreetings,
I had to add the Responsive Menu plugin because the menu that comes with my theme won’t stay open on mobile. I’ve upgraded to version 4.4.2 hoping it might fix the problem with an update, but it still doesn’t stay open for more than half a second. I turned off the Responsive menu so you can see the site with the original main menu. Don’t want to load my site with redundant plugins for a function that should already work with a “responsive” theme.
I have X Theme. It’s great but I’m not sure how to get the menu to stay open for mobile visitors.
Also, a side note: When I “view page” to get out of text or visual editor, it throws me out of the editor entirely, losing the editing bar on top of the page. You can’t get back into it without clicking back or going into the editor from the Dashboard all over again. This happens irregularly sometimes more often that not, but frustrating just the same.
Thank you in advance for any advice!
Eric

In reply to: Child Theme Not Working (for a change)Sorry for butting in, or if I wasn’t articulate enough. It seemed like a good place to start asking about Child Themes.
I’m using X Theme’s Renew Stack. the website is
The Child Theme Configurator plugin when activated looks nothing like my original design. I was under the impression that a Child Theme would be sort of a clone of the original site with all the added style changes. Then I could update the core theme and not lose any style changes.
Maybe I’m not understanding something about the process.
Thanks for your reply!

In reply to: Child Theme Not Working (for a change)My question may be simpler. I’m not seeing anything that gives me confidence to activate my Child Theme. The demo looks so far removed from my original Renew design. Menu links gone, margins not even close, not much looks the same.
I was under the impression that the Demo would show my site as I had originally customized it. So, I’m a little confused. I thought I followed directions pretty well with Child Theme Configurator.

In reply to: [WP Fastest Cache] cache desktop and mobile separately…?Ah. That’s what I thought. As with many plugins, to get them to work as expected, you need to buy the premium versions or there’s no guarantees.
Thank you for your reply. Problem solved!
Take care.

In reply to: [Minamaze] Main menu not showing on mobile devicesGreetings,
I’m using X Theme’s Renew stack. It’s great; except no menu shows on mobile phones as well.
I Just started using Uber 3 Menu. Now that shows up in the footer on mobile, but mimics the placement of the menu in top nav bar. Forcing everything to the right and down below the page area. So I took it out hoping to find a plugin or something that would do the trick.
Thanks!

In reply to: Unwanted italics in widgetsBrilliant.
I found the problem. I left an unanswered italic code (the ‘e’ and the ‘m’ thing) floating around in one of the widgets and every widget after it became italicized. I left out the ‘e’ and the ‘m’ thing with the ‘/’

In reply to: Child ThemeThank you for your response.
Yes. I have the new Word Press X Theme. I bought it so it must be “commercial”? It came with some free templates which were quite easy to set up. The X Theme site files are on another’s server who’s hosting me, so It’s very difficult to get to the actual style sheets. All the HTML files I open are labeled “Inactive”?
I’m using the Child Theme plugin, so not much is left up to me – I think I clicked all the right boxes and followed their directions well enough. I got it so I wouldn’t have to risk any errors on my own with the setup since it supposed to do it for you. And I’m a beginner.
Easier said than done….

In reply to: Rev slider images not loading in FirefoxThey had suggested we look at my site in something called “teamviewer”?
I tactfully mentioned the fact that their contact via email might be suspect and I was aware of a protocol breach. They haven’t replied back yet.I sent an inquiry ‘ticket’ to Theme Punch and they have responded with a recommendation to update the slider with instructions. I think I will heed your advice and continue with them.
Thank you for your consideration,
E!

In reply to: Rev slider images not loading in FirefoxThe address was [email protected], so it looked legit. It was through the forum. They got back to me though. but couldn’t see my problem. Could this be someone trying to hack me?

In reply to: Rev slider images not loading in FirefoxThank you. Someone from fastest Cache contacted me, but I’m not sure why. Unless they’re one in the same with rev slider, or Theme Punch
Thank you.

In reply to: Title for Contact FormOkay,
I was confused. I was confusing Contact Form 7 with the Comments and Reply option on the pages. My mistake.
Sorry, the court will strike that line of questioning from the record…

In reply to: Title for Contact FormHello,
I just tested the link and it took me to the right page. I see a contact form or a Reply box at the bottom of the page. Am I misidentifying something? I assumed that the contact form I had was Contact Form or the Reply. Maybe I’m confused.
Apologies if I am.

In reply to: [MaxGalleria] BordersThank you,
Can I get to that through the MaxGalleria Plugins editor? Is that where the elements you define live?
If so, then you probably solved my issue, since I should be able to find it in there. If you would be so kind as to let me know I’m on the right track, I’ll be happy to mark this as resolved.
Thanks again for your consideration.
