These roles have granted permission in the Media tab. Very strange, but there is nothing to see in the php error logs, neither in the wp logs, neither in the console.

Hi Mirko, indeed you can mark this as resolved. I hope I found the issue. Seems that indeed my caching plugin is causing this. I have now disabled it to see if the issue still remains. So far so good.

I found the issue. Indeed it was due to caching. It turns out that my caching plugin had written a bunch of code in my .htaccess file. Once I had this removed, everything worked properly.

my issue was that my first rule had to be ‘0 or equal’ checked.
