In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Cannot remove the mc4wp shortcodeWell, that’s what I was trying to find out; namely, if somehow, the automatic change that WordPress did from the Classic Editor to Gutenberg Editor messed with the visibility of the shortcode. But I’ve just installed the plugin that disables Gutenberg, and the shortcode is still not there. So, I must have added it in a different way.

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Cannot remove the mc4wp shortcodeHi @lapzor
Ok, if you say that it wasn’t added on each page manually but rather via some custom code outside the plugin – that’s already a good hint where to continue my investigation. I’ll try what you suggested first, though.
Thanks!

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Cannot remove the mc4wp shortcodeHi @lapzor ,
I see no such option under WP > Form > Settings, here I made a screenshot of what I have: https://imgur.com/cJs5C9W
Deactivating the plugin did remove the form but didn’t remove the shortcode display. Instead of a proper form, I had [mc4wp_form id=”708″] displayed at the bottom of each blog post.
That’s the mystery. It’s not like I didn’t check all plugin settings?? I just didn’t find anything that would even remotely indicate a solution to my problem.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Red box appearing beneath form@lukeskybaker Thanks, I figured that, too (mostly likely, it was the code that helped). It’s just that I have a strong suspicion this is directly connected with the latest Contact Form 7 update, since you and I are definitely not the only ones experiencing this issue lately if you google it. Hence I was hoping that the developers would provide a general fix. But I guess I’ll have to fix it myself ?? Thanks again, though.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Red box appearing beneath form@takayukister I have the same problem, only I have a yellow rectangle. This happened after I updated the Contact Form 7 plugin. Our theme is X-Theme (albeit a customised one), plugins are https://i.imgur.com/RaZBSOs.png. Everything is updated, including the theme, so it’s not because of some outstanding update. Please, help! ??
Thanks,

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] HTML emails coming as attachments or blankThanks for keeping in the loop! I already deactivated and removed any paths that would lead to downloads, so if the fix is done within the next day or two, the damage won’t be that huge, but still. A lot of manual work and “We’re sorry” follow-ups on those who already tried to download stuff and didn’t get it. @dquaveo thanks for the quick fix solution, will be definitely helpful if the issue isn’t resolved soon.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] HTML emails coming as attachments or blank@takayukister I seem to have the same problem. Only what I’m observing is not that this issue happens when “Use HTML content type” is checked, but when the response email after the form submission is supposed to include an attachment, PDF in our case.
A few more observations:
– After hitting the Submit button, nothing seems to happen: I neither get a message that my data went through nor get I redirected to a Thank You page. But I get a response email in my inbox nonetheless. It’s that it’s blank and the attachment is “noname” instead of a PDF as it should be.
– As soon as I remove the PDF attachment, at least I get to see the Thank You page, even though the response email is still blank with “noname” file attached.
– Strangely enough, other forms that are HTML but never had an attachment, work just fine.
– The title of a form jumps from the actual title to a random title “Feature alert #2”, which might have existed in our WordPress at some point, but definitely doesn’t exist now. Not sure this is related to the issue above, but seems to be too strange to be a coincidence.
– We do have quite a few plugins, but none installed or updated recently. At least not within the time period when the form worked and then stopped working. So, it’s doubtful that any of the other plugins are the culprit here. The website in question is https://www.elastic.io. You can test the form under the URL https://www.elastic.io/ebook-data-integration-best-practices/
Sorry, @unknownve, I marked as “resolved” because the actual question was answered. It wasn’t meant to indicate that the issue has been fixed. My bad, should have thought twice. Maybe, @wpmudev-support9 can unmark it?
Hello Nastia from @wpmudev-support9,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Good to know that you guys are already aware of this issue and working on it. I really hope that you come up with a fix soon.
Thanks again,
Olga
