I’m having the same problem displaying with Japanese characters.
On the widget under “Additional Links” I have the following:
ダッシュボード | %admin_url%
プロフィール | %admin_url%/profile.php
ログアウト | %logout_url%
And only the last line shows up. When I look at the codes, the first 2 lines are missing. If descriptions are in Latin, they are displayed with no problem.
