In reply to: PermaLinks Not Working RighgI’ll do the first part and get back here.
Although I’m going to see if I can remove the permalink and then put it back. Which sometimes works with plug ins.
I have read the Permlink doc. I didn’t set any custom links. I used what was there and just clicked it to make it the default.

In reply to: [WP Super Cache] How can I fix this new error codeOk Thank you.
What must be happening, is that many plug-ins are updating at one time and the error message, appears under your plug in === and I guess the system put it at the end of all the updates.
But as you said is for another plug in.
Thank you for not only your speedy reply — but the research on the link on getting it fixed.
Great customer service like this is, unfortunately, HARD to find!

In reply to: [WP-Ban] Which section do I put these in?Ok.
So I can stop .pl etc. and then the IPs.
I’ll go back and do more work on that. I’m getting 30 users a day from the same emails. ??

In reply to: [WP-Ban] I banned myselfThank you Lester. I don’t understand what you mean regarding #2
However, what I ended up doing is having someone I know go into my account and removed the item that was banning me.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Notice from Time.lyIt’s not that there are a zillion questions posted on the free forum. Just that no one answers.
I understand that they want payment, but for basic questions, someone from the company should answer questions. If the answers are too complex, then just ask the poster to pay the $75 but please answer them.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Notice from Time.lyNo member of the Time.ly team answers any of the posts on their free forum. I went back months and see nothing.
The forum seems to be a place where people using the free version post questions and don’t get answers. There just aren’t enough “experts” on this plug-in who visit the site to answer questions.

In reply to: Editing postsThanks everyone.
I tried the index.php but that didn’t work.
So I tried home.php, (same code as index.php) and that worked.
The theme is Elements of SEO. Just in case anyone else ever has this problem.

In reply to: Editing postsYes esmi. That’s why I thought it might be helpful to tell you what I had.
What does the single.php include. Maybe I can do a search through some of the files I “think” it could be.

In reply to: help me get my comments working…I want to close this and let others know what I did.
I downloaded the elements of sytle again to my computer (to get a clean copy). Then I went to the comments.php file for the download and copied it to the one in my wordpress blog.
Fixed the problem.

In reply to: Stolen article etc.You guys are the best.
I have pluged in the plug ins and will play with this this weekend.
I was able to finally figure out who their hosting company was. Because of the ads they had on their website, they were in violation of their hosting package and were removed.
But not all hosts do that; and as quickly as theirs did.
FYI: If someone steals your work, and you can’t get in touch with them via their website (most of the time that’s teh case) I’d go for the hosting company first, domain company second.
Thanks again…
