just coming across your question. Thanks for looking into it ! Ewww is simply set up and the following are activated :

• General : remove metadata, differed upload, autoscale,
• Advances : none
• Resize : resize exisiting images
• Conversion : none

I reach out with a very similar issue. I use Ewww Image Optimizer which (to my understanding) creates image files with different sizes on the server. It produces the new images format after renaming with Phoenix Media Rename so that’s already a good point but I still have stored the previously generated files formats.

Would you be able to find a fix ? It is very inconvenient to get to the server to delete manually and leaving the 2 sets of images (with old and new file name) would be a bit heavy on the server over time.
