In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] How to send plain-text emails?…just stumbled across this “old” post when searching for an option to send non-shiny real emails with MailPoet.
I’d like to second this request. At least add it to the paid version or make an addon for it.
Any split test I know of shows clearly that text-only mails have a better open AND clickthrough rate, people, incl. me, are bored of over-designed emails. having to click “show remote content” in Thunderbird, and so on…
Two approaches that would both be awesome:
1. leave the editor as is, but add an option for subscribers to only receive the text version.
2. include an option in the editor to switch to text-only mode.
I have the latest WC 1.4.2 and still the same effect.
Permalinks look like /shop/Produkt/…. unless the product has a product category assigned
In general it seems that permalinks contain both “shop” and “product”, which leads to cluttered breadcrumb navigation (“shop” and “products” leading to the same page, totally redundant and irritating for normal visitors…)

In reply to: EASY way to convert multisite network to single sites? Thanks Ipstenu!
Yeah, suspected that. Will try the plugins you mentioned, xcloner and the like are also worth a try, and if that fails, recreate the blogs the hard way.I wish it would have said clearly in the multisite docs: “Back off! Enabling multisite is a one-way ticket!! NO reasonable way to reverse this process!!!!”
Luckily I have just a handful of sites, not a huge network…
Update: TLA support (as usual fast and friendly) was able to solve the prob by hardcoding the site key etc. on that site.
Seemingly a compatibility problem with the age-old version of WP that I was running on that particular site.I have the same situation here on one blog that runs an elderly (supported by the plugin though) WP version. Plugin is latest version.
No keys or site-URLs are saved in the database, and for whatever reason it does not use the (correct) default key either that is inside the plugin file.what format has the entry for the site keys in the database so that we could enter it manually via phpmyadmin?
Entering just the key seems not to work.
sitekey:siteurl or whatever combination?
Help much appreciated.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Tweetable] "Missing argument 2" – Tweetable misbehaving or PHP error?Cool, thanks for the fix!
The update prob – weird, I know. I thought just what you wrote, but for SOME reason I get this problem sometimes, und so far only with Tweetable or when I chose several plugins incl. Tweetable to be updated. Other plugins update fine on the same install.
Well, not so important, manually killing the file is not a big deal ??Does the plugin work if you change themes?
Yes Zack, with some themes it seems to work, with others not.
Maybe the usual problem that neither theme- nor plugin- developers prefix their variables etc. to make them unique and then they interfere with each other. But actually I did not investigate further, because I never use anything but the HTML view anyways and replacing two quotes is easier for me than anything else… ??
So, no offense, but I kicked the plugin and do it manually.
Cheers & thanks for the reply!
Martinstill would love to hear from other users or the developer, but in the meantime I found a VERY simple workaround that enables links without any plugins.
In the HTML editor add your link to the caption with the usual HTML code. Replace the double quotes with single quotes. NOT the double quotes in the link code, but those enclosing the caption=”…” part.
So the final code looks something like
[caption id="" align="alignright" width="250" caption='Smart Caption blahblah <a href="https://www.whateverdomain.com">Anchor Text</a>']<img title="cool pic" src="https://www.yourdomain.com/whateverpathtoimages.jpg" alt="Smart SEO Alttext" width="250"/>[/caption]

In reply to: [TagPages] [Plugin: TagPages] Probem with tag-editing in quickedit?ah, overlooked the reply.
Thanks Nerrad!Exactly that was my solution on the site where I just NEED to have Organize Series active. No quickedit, no problem. *lol*
Nevertheless looking forward to your update! Take your time – I know “real life” can be a bitch ??

In reply to: [TagPages] [Plugin: TagPages] Probem with tag-editing in quickedit?OK, update: the problem seems to be the “organize series” plugin in combination with yours.
I tested TagPages on a different blog without the series plugin – works.
Deactivated “organize series” in the “broken” blog – tags show up and are editable via quickedit as well.If other users experience the same: no problem in case you always use the full edit, the bug only is in the quickedit function, for whatever reason…

In reply to: [TagPages] [Plugin: TagPages] Probem with tag-editing in quickedit?Berny, thanks for the quick reply & for trying to reproduce the problem.
sorry, was not clear about that: I first noticed the problem when I edited some posts in quickedit mode, that’s why I mentioned categories. The problem of the tags vanishing in quickedit exists for both pages and posts.
Will check if any of my other plugins interferes – problem occured shortly after I switched from the abandoned tags4pages to your plugin, not sure if I changed anything else. Will report back when I find the culprit and/or a solution.
cheers

In reply to: [Plugin: wp-crossfade] Pictures don′t showAny news on that? Looks to me like crossfade has a problem with the latest WP versions. Since upgrade to 2.9.x wp-crossfade on my site shows the loading pic forever. Worked fine before.
Any help, ideas or updates from the devs would be very much appreciated.
