In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] Update 2.0 Ruined PluginSame problem, clearing cache did not help me. Jumping in here so I’ll get notified if there’s a fix.
Ok, found some time and figured I’d fix it with some css.
For anyone else who may be trying to fix the same problem, this is what I used:
a.pinit-button, a:hover.pinit-button { background-color: transparent !important; }
Yes! Thank you for this update. Looks like it fixed all the double Pinterest buttons, but the transparency issue is still there. Just as a heads up, the only two websites that haven’t got the transparency issues seem not to have them because the images are smaller?
ex: https://scribblejot.com/platinum-3776-century-ultra-extra-fine-fountain-pen-review/
& https://eliseandthomas.com/2016/11/averys-winter-portraits/It’s workin’ out fine on those but not the two original ones I posted, which have much larger Pin It buttons.
Hope that helps & thanks so much for being quick on the patches!

In reply to: [jQuery Pin It Button for Images] Selecting the wrong images to be pinnedSorry for being so delayed in getting back!
Didn’t have time to test before but just tested now, and nope, didn’t work, but that’s okay & thanks for trying. I don’t have any clue why this happens either.
Excited to have the pro version coming out so soon!! ??
If I could make a request – if it’s simple to do would love this integrated: the option to completely customize the text pinned. So like having {pagetitle}, {pagedescription}, {picturetitle}, {altattribute}, {sitetitle}, {imagedescription}, {pagelink}, {websitelink} all as options you can turn into any formula you want. For example you could end up with: “{pagetitle}: {pagedescription}. Brought to you by {sitetitle} @ {websitelink}.”
Would be amazing and so helpful for sharing on pinterest! I haven’t seen this kind of customization on any other pinterest plugin so it would be a huge perk; I’d hands down pay extra for this feature.

In reply to: [Cloudflare] Front page no longer updating by itself when new post publishedI know that. What I was saying is that the only way my front page ever shows the new post is if I manually purge the cache at CloudFlare.com.
It’s not updating by itself when I hit “publish” anymore since the update to 1.3.21.
From my personal experience, not sure if this is 100% right –
It’s possible that a bulk of the traffic is coming from the email newsletter. It’s also possible that if your post trended on Pinterest, that the traffic is coming from the Pinterest app rather than pinterest.com. I’ve had a lot of experience with the latter – some article trending on Pinterest but it not showing up as even remotely near as high as it should for referral traffic.
Even Google Analytics doesn’t know where every single bit of traffic comes from, so unfortunately, you’ll have to work off of what you do know to figure out where the rest might be coming from.
Using on a laptop, but yes it’s touch screen so yup that’s definitely where the problem lies! Thanks for the help troubleshooting!

In reply to: [jQuery Pin It Button for Images] Pin it button is pinning wrong imagesAny word on this? It happens to me with specific posts, too. Is it something to do with our code? Any guidance for helping us to troubleshoot?
@melpomene: That would make sense to me.
I emailed support and they just got back to me. Told me to “follow the 1st item from the FAQ list here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tweet-old-post/faq/” Which is obviously irrelevant.
Anyway, I downgraded to an older version over the weekend and will email back and forth to explain that there’s got to be an actual issue with this new version. Until then, am happy I had an old version lying around.
Mine gives the same error. Happened since I upgraded Revive old post Pro Add-on to Version 1.8. On my other sites Revive old post Pro Add-on is still on Version 1.5.6, and there it’s working great.
Yeah, I gave up and switched to Zemanta’s WP Related Posts since I kept troubleshooting and just couldn’t figure things out. Tried reinstalling Jetpack, removing all content from the post to see if something was conflicting there, changing the URL – basically nothing I could think of worked. This was just easier.
Thank you for offering to give it a shot and definitely if I do switch back to Jetpack’s Related Posts, I’ll ask again :).

In reply to: WordPress 4.4 Update – srcset attributes to invalid image addressesHey guys! Just figured out the problem over on my end. Copying from what I posted over @ the similar thread:
|| Figured it out. It looks like the issue was with the Amazon S3 for WordPress with CloudFront plugin. Switched to WP Offload S3 and all works fine and dandy. Didn’t even have to regen thumbnails.
Wish you luck!

In reply to: Thumbnails broke after upgrade to WordPress 4.4Thanks for pointing this out! Now to begin testing. Hoping it’s a plugin and not the Genesis Framework.
