Ok I found the solution. Apparently there was a checkbox that I needed to clear.
Gallery >> Options >> Gallery tab
There is a checkbox that says “The album will not link to a gallery subpage. The gallery is shown on the same page.” which I needed to uncheck.
It’s working now. ??
