Correction!

It did share, after all. I don’t know why Mastodon didn’t show it (I saw it from another profile), perhaps the mstdn.ca server was acting up or overwhelmed. I will keep the delay setting on, perhaps making it a bit shorter. Sorry to have caused confusion.

Thanks again, Jan. Yes, I did upload both images, as you suggested, as there is only one image per post, which is also the featured image. I could uncheck the box for the featured image, I guess. That would work perhaps?

I insert the alt text into the main image in the Media library, so we are good there. Thanks again.

If I just don’t put a featured image in the post that doesn’t bring an image into Mastodon. So that doesn’t give me any alt text for the image that is shown, as it is just a link to the post. Drat, I thought I had it fixed.

There is an options on the Settings section under the templates tab, on the right hand side above the section Message substitutions. A button “Send Email Preview”.

I had a screenshot but can’t upload as that isn’t supported here, so look for it.

The photo posts are working well, as the alt text applied to the image in WordPress are ported to the mastodon post image.

Okay, found the template, not sure how it affected the results. But have removed it.

The title runs into the text which I wish it wouldn’t.

what ‘template’? If so, I haven’t done it intentionally.

how would I separate the title?

I’m an idiot. I didn’t read. I’ll create the directory.

First, I don’t have an mu-plugins folder. I have a plugins one. Do I put it in there, or create a different folder and at what level?

I am no developer, at soon 74 I can follow instructions like this, but am not into tweaking or the like!
