I have had a clash between NextGen, and the plugin Weaver Show Posts for many years, receiving the message ?The response is not a valid JSON response. Applying this command to wp-config.php

define(‘NGG_DISABLE_SHORTCODE_MANAGER’, TRUE);

has worked for me and I no longer receive the message. Thank you

Saw this thread on Captions for Nextgen Lightbox Pro. The wife has been asking that the captions appear by default. I see you have this on a plan to do.

When will this feature be available?

Looks like it was after the upgrade. Options were retained when I logged back in

Scenario 1.

I have a catalogue, and a category added to the catalogue.

I add a product and assign a category to the product. The products in the category increases. The products in the catalogue stays the same.

I delete the product. The category count goes down, and catalogue product count stays the same.

Scenario 2.

I add a product and dont assign a category.
I go to the catalogue and add the prodcut to the catalogue. The number of items in the Catalogue count increases.
I go to the product display and delete the product, the catalogue count still displays the same number of products. Actually also noted that the catalogue appears to have an orphan product in there as well, which does disappear. Count though remains incorrect.

The display of the catalogue now appears to show several items which I added and deleted with no images.

The custom fields are not quite what I want then. To some extent they are not useful, I could have entered the information into the product description and not used custom fields.

I am looking for a template for the product description. The person adding the item wold complete a very short description, and complete the custom fields. The display and formatting and selection of the custom fields would be defined by a template probably defined for the category the item is a member of.

The catalogue (thumbnails) would display a short list of the custom fields under the picture. I would need to be able to apply style. Possibly define the tamplate of this area in a catalogue description field.

The product display would show the description, followed by a list of custom fields. These fields might be different depending on the category of product. Again a template for this area could be supplied by the category. The template would format and select the custom fields to be included. The template would be the same for all products in a category.

Actually I would like to see the custom fields on entry to be varied by the product category as well, not so important.

After receiving the course of action from photocrati, I started to test the gallery again. All the issues I had before had been resolved.

There had been two changes to the environment since the original errors, and these were the only changes.

1. I had upgraded php from 5.2 to 5.3 (Required version for another wordpress plugin on a unrelated site)

2. I deleted 100,000’s rows from wp_options as suggested by others
DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name like ‘displayed_gallery_rendering%’;
DELETE FROM wp_options WHERE option_name like ‘_transient_%’ OR option_name like ‘displayed_galleries%’;

Unfortunately I don’t know which one solved the problem for me

I installed this, (by unzipping the plugin overwriting the old install). Then reactivating the plugin. This took a long time, 10 minutes, but was succesful.

The user interface for adding users in was easier and faster to use.

Unfortunately when it goes of to retrieve the blogs everything goes wrong. Yes it retrieves the blogs, creates the posts, but the load on the server rose to 300.

It appears to die down, only to start again, when the next search is to be performed. I have this set to two hours.

It is also posting the entries multiple times, so overnight I have 3 – 4 posts.

I have about 200 blogs I am following.

Should I have 122448 rows in wp_options with a key starting displayed_gallery_rendering

Seems there is an issue with deleting rows from the table, then also seems that the show_tables fails for some reason, and the code for next_gen is trying to create a table?

My version of mysql is 5.5.14

When I am trying to recreate a gallery thumbnail, I get the error message displayed back (thumb nail is created)

I should also add. I am using Nextgen 2.0.40 and Nextgen Pro 1.0.10 and WordPress 3.8

This was an upgrade from a working WordPress 3.7 and Nextgen 2.0.xx system. I am not sure what broke it. The upgrade to 2.0.40 was done a few weeks ago, and appeared to work, but I was not creating new galleries. The upgrade to WordPress 3.8 occurred recently, and then I started uploading galleries and have issues with the new galleries and albumns.

The error message when I upload thumbnails is
