In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Blocked external resourcesCan you send us an example page on your website where you’re seeing AddThis code to [email protected]? In the email please mention your question as well or paste this forum URL link.
AddThis plugin is not updated recently. I’d recommend you to install AddThis directly to WordPress without installing the plugin.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] LinkedIn share image not appearing@databell96 – I’m not sure. May I know which services reported those shares? We’re showing counts for a service directly from that service’s API.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] LinkedIn share image not appearingThe share counts showing up fine- https://www.screencast.com/t/H2KosRFoSr9.
Twitter and Linkedin deprecated their share counts.

https://developer.linkedin.com/blog/posts/2018/deprecating-the-inshare-counterFacebook deprecated the endpoint we used to pull shares, so we’re unable to fetch the Facebook share counts now.?Our engineers are looking for an alternative way to fetch share counts.
We currently support share counts for the following services:
* Facebook (currently under review)
* Pinterest
* Reddit
* Delicious
* VK
* Odnoklassniki`Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] LinkedIn share image not appearingNow I’m able to see the script loading and buttons showing up fine- https://www.screencast.com/t/MclQhQn7x.
The Linkedin share too seems working fine. The image is correctly fetching from the specified og:image meta tag – https://www.screencast.com/t/oZJSUue3xqkU.
Are you still experiencing any issue?

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] LinkedIn share image not appearingThe buttons are not loading and I’m still not able to find our script (addthis_widget.js instance) on your page. If you’ve added them correctly then it should be visible when we inspect the page or when we view the page source code. Now it seems missing- https://www.screencast.com/t/iMsR71QWBvc.
Are you able to see the addthis_widget.js instance in your page source code?
Could you also send all these details to [email protected]?

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] LinkedIn share image not appearingWhen I inspected your site I can see that og:image meta tag is not specified.
https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector/inspect/https:%2F%2Fwrittenpalette.com%2FIn order to control what appears in sharing dialogs on social platforms, you need to specify Open Graph meta tags. I would suggest adding the following Open Graph tags to each of your pages: og:image, og:description, og:title, and og:url.
Check out Facebook’s Developer Documentation for more information:

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Sharing image are not showingHi there,
In order to control what appears in sharing dialogs on social platforms, you need to specify Open Graph meta tags. I would suggest adding the following Open Graph tags to each of your pages: og:image, og:description, og:title, and og:url.
Check out Facebook’s Developer Documentation for more information:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/webmasters/#markupIf you’ve already added Open Graph tags, I’d suggest looking at the Facebook Debugger to see if Facebook is reporting any errors:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debugThanks,
Elsa!Facebook deprecated the endpoint we used to pull shares,
https://graph.facebook.com/?id=https://www.addthis.com/&callback=_ate.cbs.rcb_2ctq0so we’re unable to fetch the Facebook share counts now.
https://www.addthis.com/share-count-checker/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.addthis.com%2FWe are absolutely still committed to providing this service moving forward and have begun the process of migration which we expect to be complete in 1-2 weeks or less.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for understanding!
Hi there,
Thanks for contacting AddThis Support:)
1. Bitly changed their API (https://support.bitly.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004395631-Migrating-from-v3-to-v4-of-the-Bitly-API) so for pubs who haven’t yet updated their Client ID and Secret and still have their old credentials saved, is it expected that it will stop working.
Now you need to update the bitty credentials for the new api and add them in the dashboard settings.
https://www.addthis.com/academy/url-shortening/2. We’re showing counts for Facebook directly from Facebook Graph API. Facebook Graph API service seems temporarily down due to downtime. Wait and retry operation later.
