@nadula – I’ve been searching around for a solution to this for a while now, and this works perfectly. I’m using a plugin for event registrations and your plugin even changes the displayname to First Name Last Name in the confirmation emails that admins get when a new user account is created and a new event is booked.

I’m looking for a solution to this same problem. I need to force new user accounts to default the display name to First Name and Last Name. Ideally this could be forced at the account creation point.

Just to follow up and close out this request, I ended up just doing a custom post type to solve this problem. I found two plugins that did what I was looking for, but unfortunately neither of them did it very well. A custom post type was simpler and cleaner.

Probably a stupid question, but how were you able to get upgraded to PHP5 on XO? I can’t seem to figure out how to even upload a .htaccess file with the phpt line of code in it. I get an access error when trying to upload it to the root.

I’m getting an error when I try to install cart66 lite. Does this plugin require a certain version of php? I’m still running php4…
