So I am talking about this option: Notify post author on new comment.Currently the post author aka product creator receives a notification immediately after a comment is submitted by a “comment starter”. We as admins want to moderate these comments and send this notification to the product creator/author AFTER the comment is approved by an admin.
Please let me know if this is not clear. Thanks for your reply in advance.

I got a similar problem with another plugin then bbpress. I thinks it’s the same problem causing these broken permalinks (actually it redirects to the homepage) and would like to help to find a solution for all of us.

I understand your questions about this. Please allow me to explain:
We want only the product author to be able to reply, because these product authors are exterrnal vendors (it’s a marketplace site). They are obligated to answer questions about the products they sell, according to our terms.
That’s why we want the product author to receive an email when a question is posted and in order to save us work on moderating answers from other people (which are probably spammy), we want the product author to have exclusive rights to answer the question. If possible it would be even better if the original poster of the question was able to reply too, of course. Can this be added to the options too? That would be awesome! All users have to be logged in by the way in order to ask a question.Thanks for your help again!

I think I should rephrase what we want to achieve:
We want only specific users like the product author to be able to reply to posted questions, so all other users/visitors are excluded from replying to it.
The code you sent excludes the product author from being able to reply to comments, right?Besides, we would also like these users to receive an email notification of a new comment post.
Hope there’s a way to do both.

However, I already found out it’s the new WPML string translation version causing this problem, not the WCML plugin. So I will mark this topic as resolved.
