OK. Back at work now and I’ve had a look at it here. I do get to see the full WYSIWYG interface on IE – and on Firefox – as long as I use “safe mode”, so, it must be one of the extensions that I’ve installed that’s messing up!

I suspect the most likely culprit is Accessibar, as I think that starts to control the JS a bit. Will try removing that one (especially as it wasn’t that good anyway!)

I’m logged in to the Work one with the same ID at both home & work. I’m at home now & have only just set up the alternative, so can’t test that at work till tomorrow.

    Hmm… I’ve just tried with a Virgin WordPress 2.0.2. install & it’s working fine.

I’ve then tried accessing the one that was playing up at home – rather than at work. And it’s fine now!

At both home & work I’m using Firefox 1.5.0.1. As far as I know, both set up the same way. Any suggestions??

There was an article that you might find interesting in yesterday’s Observer Newspaper – UK
    https://www.guardian.co.uk/microsoft/Story/0,,1749873,00.html

It was looking at business blogs in general & has some references to books that may be of use.

You have to register a blog at WordPress.com – and in *that* blog it’s got the API. Seems a bit daft to me, as they’ve got a lot of blogs there I’d guess that have nothing but a URL … which is a pain for anyone who *wants* one there & can’t get the URL that they want.

Could you edit the theme, so that the top box is bigger & includes the text of that post – then start below it?

Is there a way of seeing who wrote the drafts? I’ve got a draft from “Other”, and I’d like to know who wrote it. It will let me publish it, so I guess i could find out that way, but then I’d not be able to return it to “draft”.

I’m using WordPress 2.0.2. by the way.

Just as a follow up – I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins & just having the latest version of Structured Blogging working … but still the same result.

OK. I’ve just reverted back to the older version and it’s now working.

Still puzzled why the new one doesn’t! (Oh, and I’ve upgraded to 2.0.2 of WordPress).

In case it makes a difference, I’ve got the following other plugins installed & activated:
    Ultimate Tag Warrior 2.9.2.1
    WordPress Database Backup 1.7

I’ve got the following installed, but not activated:
    Akismet 1.14
    Hello Dolly 1.5
    Markdown 1.0.1
    Theme Switcher 0.1
    Textile 1 1.0
Ultimate Tag Warrior: Tag Archive 1.0
    Ultimate Tag Warrior 1.3 Legacy

Could there be a conflict with one of those & Structured Blogging 1.0pre13, and not between them & Structured Blogging 0.5?

I’ve tried updating the permalinks, and changing to several different options in there, but nothing works.

    No.
What should I be updating them to? When I went back into the post to edit it, all the information had gone.
I’ve tried with their style sheet on (the default) and off, just in case that was it.

Thanks for the note about searching. I didn’t think to read it – to be honest, I assumed that it was about advanced searching & assumed that the search button would work!

Thanks also for the pointer about what the .rss feeds are – am I right in thinking that they aren’t listed in the admin panel to cut & paste (as Blogger offer) I guess I’ll stick to bloglines to find it for me, as the URL is a bit complex & I invariably get it a bit wrong!

    Thanks once again.

It’s come back of its own accord. Phil must have been playing with the SQL server!

    Hi
I’ve installed the Ultimate tag Warrior (there were 3 plugins that appeared – so I activated the lot, was that right?)

However, it’s now showing “Technorati tags” at the bottom of each post; whether or not I have put any in. I’ve deactivated it for the time being; however, is it possible to set it so that you don’t see the label if there aren’t any tags, but do if there are.

    Hope that makes sense.

    Thanks!

In an attempt to stop the paragraph tags I was manually putting in breaks! Clearly that was confusing it.
