In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] [Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] Display on individual postsHi, Have tried editing the DB of Dynamic Widgets > the line;
widget-it = (chosen menu), maintype = single, name = (empty), value = 0
Both removing it and changing it to value=1, but the menu still will not appear.
Do you think it might be the MySQL version?
Thanks, Emma.

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] [Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] Display on individual postsHi, yes, I copied the files to the live server exactly – did a DB export and loaded it in…
I was having a look at the live servers settings – the only thing I can think it might be is the PHP or MySQL versions.
Local: PHP 5.3.6 MySQL 5.5.9
Live: PHP 5.2.3 MySQL 4.1.22I thought that the PHP could be an issue, but it’s the same release, different update… Could it be MySQL?
I might try doing a fresh DB export and load, before I give the client access to make content….
Not sure what else to try, can you direct me where the setting is stored for display on individual posts in the DB perhaps I can go in and edit that directly in the DB?
Kind Regards, Emma.

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] [Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] Display on individual postsHi, thanks for getting back to me.
Have tried OLD method – set to old, then reset all and re-configured. when this didn’t work, then deleted and re-made the instance of the widget. Both did not work… Any other ideas?
Thanks again, Emma.
Ended up merging the customization with the new release of Next Gen Gallery. Wasn’t nearly as hard as i thought it would be ?? Just had to make sure I remembered what we’d changed…

In reply to: Tanzaku Problem with Nextgen GalleryI found that this was one of the few galleries that worked with the theme.
Which display mode are you using? I think the one with thumbnails was a bit flaky in combination with this theme. Try setting it to slideshow and see if this works.
Slideshow is the view I used.

In reply to: NextGen Gallery – Using Custom Field to insert gallery (Not the plugin)From your link;
I was able to get my gallery functioning as needed.
If you copy and paste the code from the example into the template where you want it, then when you’re entering the custom field info, change this to the same text as you would to display the gallery in the post eg:
[slideshow=1, width=100, height=50]
I used this method to move the gallery out of the main content so that I could control which page styles it was displayed on. I am using Tanzaku theme, so i only wanted it in the single post view, not the grid view (which is all the posts at once).
So, you just change slideshow to whichever view you want.
Hope this helps. It sounds like this is what you mean.
Found this great link;
exactly what i was after ??
Hi Alex,
Yes, I want to re-size it. A fixed size is no problem.
I would like it to scale when someone is looking at it on a larger screen. So that when they enlarge their browser window, that it will scale up proportionally.
I’m aware of potential problems with image resolution when doing this, however it is a request from the client.
Currently it scales down nicely – eg on ipad. But I can’t find how to scale it up. I tried using percentage to over-ride the variable $height and $width in the nggfunctions.php – but this did not work.
Thanks, Emma.

In reply to: What is this plugin?My apologies, had looked at so many things for this theme I got mixed up… I used this as a basis for integrating rollover captions… could maybe adapt for the slide in top info;

In reply to: top navigation as well as bottomI know it’s a bit late… but you just go to the widgets and put categories into the sidebar 1 area

In reply to: tanzaku theme image problemin the index page you need to set the max column to 1;
‘$max_col = 1; // max column size (style div.x1 ~ xN)’
this is on line 6
Thanks David, definitely not the path – was the interaction with the theme – when i switched to the standard theme after cobbling together my own ‘2.0’ version of GalleryView it worked.
So, unfortunately am currently running a gallery without thumbnails until I can find another solution. I think there are just too many scripts when it’s combined with the tanzaku theme ??
Have managed to put together a functioning gallery with some help from appleton.me sample page. Found that there’s a problem integrating it with tanzaku theme from Trippleships.
Is there anyone using this combination who found a workaround?
The base nextgen gallery works, just the galleryview plugin that is playing up…
Okay, it’s because i have an old version, can not find a download of 2.0 anywhere?
