Gave up – just went back to next gen 1.7.3 and then activate/deactivate the plugin when i need to edit the pages.

Hi there, thanks for the response – I thought that too, but there are loads of versions, I thought 1.7.3 should work with wp 3.1.2 and php 5.1.6 but it crashes my page editor and it takes such a long time to uninstall/reinstall the versions I was hoping someone could just tell me what would work…I’m not being slack I’ve been trying to figure it out for days…cheers

Aha got my host to sort it out, something not enabled on their side.

Hi there, yep I can do that (and it creates the url I want) but when I look up a page I get a 404 error:

Not Found
The requested URL /workshops/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) Server at https://www.duet-studio.com Port 80

i.e. its not a problem with whats in Settings/Permalinks its something to do with rewriting urls? (I’ve already edited the .htaccess file)

Solved it just had to have a header.php – copy all contents from parent theme and then enter the code under the opening Head tag per WordPress Flavicon page.

Don’t worry it is a child theme but it’s just easier for me to have all the stuff in it whilst I get used to how it works. CHEERS.
