    Hi Trieles,

Based on your response, I’m not sure I actually understand the problem correctly. Am I correct in saying that you used BulkPress to create the product categories? Am I also correct in saying that you then used another plugin to import “products” into your installation? If yes, which plugin was that? Lastly, what exactly do you want to do: do you want to remove just the created categories or also the imported products?

    Hey Trieles,

I’m sorry to hear that. There is no automatic way to remove all categories/terms created with BulkPress. The easiest way to remove them is to do so manually from the WordPress admin, I’m afraid. If you want to remove all terms, it may be easiest to do so in the SQL database directly, if you’re comfortable with that (make sure to make a back-up before you do so).

The link you’ve attached to the post does not work, by the way.

    Heya!

I’ve set up a clean install of WordPress 4.7.5 with BulkPress 0.3.5, and I can’t reproduce the issue. Using the example data filled in when clicking the link in “You can add example data to the text boxes by clicking here.”, for instance, all entered terms are added.

What PHP version are you running? Can you try deactivating all other plugins, and seeing whether the problem still occurs?

Heya! Thanks for your review, I appreciate it. And thanks for reporting the issues with bulk editing; you’re right. The JavaScript-based editor in WordPress doesn’t handle large quantities of posts very well in the quick editor.

For changing specific information (featured image, post status, etc.) for all posts at once, you might want to check out my other plugin https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/bulk-actions/ which works well with Bulk Actions Select All.

    Hey Marjoline,

Thank you for your kind words! I’m really glad it helped in migrating content from one site to another.

Regarding the feature request: that’s a neat idea, thank you. I’ve added it to the GitHub page, and I hope I can find some time to implement it! You can track the isseu here: https://github.com/engelen/bulk-actions/issues/13.

    Heya!

I’m sorry for the delay in reponse — I’ve been a bit busy lately. I’d love to be working on feature requests, but unfortunately, it’s not really possible from a time-perspective..

If you want to have a go at it, by all means do! I’ll see whether I can make some time for it myself in the future.

    Thank you for your patience!

    Cheers!

Heya! Thanks for reminding me; I’ve been a bit busy — I’m sorry for the delay.

I have tried to reproduce this issue by making a fresh install of WordPress 4.9.4, installing BulkPress, and adding a few terms via BulkPress. It works fine, and no error message is shown. What version of WordPress are you using, and can you verify that BulkPress does work on other of your installations?

    Cheers!

    Hey Bilal,

    I’m afraid I’ve completely missed this topic…

There currently is no way of adding posts to categories from within BulkPress, but you can use the “Bulk Edit” feature from WordPress to assign posts to categories in bulk. I’ve attached a video of the process:

    Hi Victioria!

Thank you for your support request. I’ve tried to reproduce the issue you’re facing, but I can’t seem to reproduce it. When I use the example data and check the box “Create inexistent parents”, which ensures any parent category that doesn’t exist yet for your input child categories are created as well, the categories are added as expected.

Can you try whether it does work when you try to add the example data as “Categories” (i.e., leave the “Taxonomy” dropdown on “Categories”)?

I’ve attached a video of the expected behaviour:

    Hi,

Thank you for your support request. Would it be possible to provide some more information? For example, could you produce the contents of the text box containing the titles when you’re trying to add them, and then a list of items that do and do not get added?

    For example:

    Input
    `
    US/California/San Francisco
    US/California/San Diego
    US/Texas/Austin
    `

    Result
    “US/California/San Francisco” gets added
    “US/California/San Diego” doesn’t get added
    “US/Texas/Austin” doesn’t get added

    Cheers!

    Hi,

If it didn’t work, then why did you add a review? There’a a support forum specifically intended for reporting issues with the plugin. Seriously. It says so right in the highlighted box when you add a review:

If you want to get support, remove your review or change it, and open a support topic.

    Good luck.

Heya! Thanks for your feedback. That’s definitely a good suggestion. I’ve created an issue on GitHub, maybe we can discuss it further there? And, while you’re there, make sure to star the repository :-).

    Hi Lemanton,

I’m sorry to hear that the plugin isn’t working for you! Could you open a support request so I can try to help you out with this?

By the way, the “Reviews” section is intended for reviews, not for bug reports or support questions. I’d like to ask you to consider revising your review when we’ve solved your issue.

    Best,
    Jesper
