The problem is still there though. We can’t use Lazy Load or Remove JavaScript Content settings without having a really old DOCTYPE appear on every slide on the page. I’ve tried disabling one or the other, but it’s necessary to uncheck both of those options. I hope you are able to find a way to fix this problem.
Sorry, that boilerplate response isn’t working in this case. We’re talking several different websites, each with different email recipients. They can’t all be using the same email filters that, until now, all worked fine and delivered their mail uninterrupted. And the problem seemed to resolve itself after following the plugin deactivation/reactivation routine I described above, with no change at all to any email filtering.
I believe I have found the answers I need here: https://wpforms.com/how-to-build-spam-free-wordpress-contact-forms-the-ultimate-guide/
reCAPTCHA is not required, but if one chooses to use it, you can opt to use v.2 rather than v.3.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Please! Add option to use V2 and V3.Are you saying that the reason I am getting spammed so much since “upgrading” to reCAPTCHA v.3 is because I need to build up some kind of score?

In reply to: [Remove Yoast SEO Comments] Plugin conflict with Yoast 5.8Or… deactivate RYSC temporarily and be patient. Let the Remove Yoast SEO Comments plugin author update the plugin as soon as possible. Monitor your dashboard and you’ll be notified of the update when it’s available. Then you can reactivate it.

In reply to: Suddenly I can’t access admin areaI had this same problem – getting a 404 when trying to access the admin – and discovered it was because I had an .htaccess file in there. I don’t know how I managed that, but it was prob’ly ’cause I just didn’t pay attention to what I was doing at the time. Renaming the file gave me access. I have 3 other blogs and checked them and found none have an .htaccess file in the wp-admin folder.
Had me goin’ there for a while. But I am glad I found this topic when I did a search. It gave me some ideas that helped me find the real problem.
R’gards,

In reply to: Coffee Stained background.jpg off by 1px in IEUnbelievable. There is no one here that understands enough about CSS to be able to lend me a hand with this?
The designer has not answered my comment and hasn’t replied to my email. I know I shouldn’t get too attached to a stupid theme, but I like it enough to have modified the graphics to personalize it: https://1footinthegrave.com and https://jim-mcclain.afloorpro.net Except for the 1 pixel jog, I think it’s a very nice looking theme. Sure would be nice to get some assistance – at least some acknowledgment.

In reply to: Coffee Stained background.jpg off by 1px in IEI don’t usually like bumping a topic, but I find it hard to believe no one can help me solve this problem. Maybe it was just the holiday. Now that you’re all back in the swing of things, can someone try to tackle this issue? I’d appreciate it.
Thanks,

In reply to: Is there a way to remove Browse Happy button from the footer?Either way you edit the file, you will have to re-edit it every time there is an update. I just remove the whole function call, which is several lines of code. I keep a record of file edits, so I know what’s what after an upgrade.
In this particular case, the benefit is to reduce the overall speed of the site – yes, this particular edit is only worth a millisecond or 2, but it all adds up.
I also am one of those die-hard IE users. I use Firefox, as well as Opera and Netscape to check the code I write when designing sites, but I use IE7 as my daily driver. I’ve never had a problem with hackers or any other security issue in the 15 years I’ve used computers because I practice safe computing and Internet habits.
Anyway, thanks for the tip on how to get rid of this waste of Ether on me.
