We are a magazine in DC under the wing of a nonprofit foundation. We think your plugin really rocks and we are about to release our new website including your tool.
But we need to do what it does exactly. We looked around on the forum and found no clear answer about what the “Check here if this is a memorial gift” does. So we made donations to ourselves. One with that checked, one without. the only difference we found was on the report in wordpress
One would say “in memory of”, the other “in honor of”.
But both the notification emails we received simply read: “You have asked to make this donation in honor of or memory of someone else.”
Is there more than that that we missed?
We would like to understand the dynamic here. Someone (A) receives a notification that a donation was made in honor or memory of someone else (B), and then we, the receivers, are supposed to write another thank you message, this time precisely making the distinction honor/memory, and including the details of (B) the donation was made in the name of?
Is that correct?
