    You have not resolved anything.

First, why does the sidebar location setting not work?
You have ignored this question multiple times.

Second, in your replies and documentation, you have failed to mention that, if only minor changes are made to the templates copied to the theme, your code will still use the ‘default’ templates from the global folder in the plugin directory.

If I want to modify the templates in the ‘global’ directory, I must manually point every occurrence of ‘xoo_get_template()’ with a valid ‘require()’ or ‘include()’ statement pointing to my themes ‘template’ or ‘template/global’ directory.

So far, all you have done is say everything is working for everyone else. You have not tried to understand the issues.

This is why I said do not respond before. Because you just wanted me to believe it works for everyone else.

So, after your less than helpful comments, I have determined the following:

Your approach to custom templates does not work at all. I have copied the entire ‘templates’ directory from you plugin directory to the child_theme so that they are in ‘my_child_theme/templates’.

NONE of my changes are reflected in the website or the code.

Setting sidebar right from the settings does nothing.

Your documentation is hard to locate. Your Live Chat is nowhere to be found.

I would not recommend this plugin to anyone looking to work with a custom approach to login popups. If you want to use this in its native state with no configurations, it does work, but not completely.

It is NOT exactly like your demo. The link on your www.ads-software.com plugin page has a different demo.

Anyway, I figured out I will need to edit the templates to get it to act as I want.
The reason the sidebar is on the right is that I changed the template file.

The settings do not work for moving the sidebar from one side to the other.

No need to respond. I will figure this out on my own.

Thank you very much for your email.

We had to pull much of our development off of Little Hippo last year to finish another optimization tool we are developing.
But we will be focusing on Hippo again next month.

We will make the import function from Yoast and AIOSEO a priority.

    Thank you,
    ErBuc / CTO

    Hi LP,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
It is a holiday weekend here.

Our team will look into this.
Currently, it is important for us to keep content as protected as possible.
With all of the content being updated as tags are updated, the user should have Admin access as care needs to be taken when updating massive amounts of blog data like we are doing.

Many of our update routines use functions where WordPress requires Admin access. But we will investigate if there is a method for allowing Editors or Authors to perform the same steps.

    Thanks for you suggestion.

Just a review for everyone, we have fixed this issue and it will be pushed out in upcoming releases.

A big “Thank You” to stevenminix for helping us determine the problem and get everything fixed.

    Hi Steve,

We are still battling with this one. It seems that there is something being held over in your system that makes Little Hippo think that either All in One SEO or WordPress SEO is still installed.

We have duplicated the error (roughly) but we do not yet have a solution for you. We are working on it and will let you know as soon as we have a fix for you.

Are the Little Hippo SEO fields showing when you edit your home page?

    Hi Steven,

Our team has been looking into this but cannot seem to replicate the error.
What SEO plugin were you using before that you have now deleted?

When you deleted the plug-in, did you also delete the associated data?

    That’s great Steve.

Thanks for your questions. It helps us understand how the plug-in is being used so we can improve functionality and usability.

    Cheers,

From an SEO standpoint, it is not recommended to add a “| Site Name” default text to all pages. We took the advice of SEO experts and did not allow for this.

But, you could still add it manually to the end of all of your pages if you really require this.

    For the description areas:

From Settings > Default Titles & Meta > Categories, you can enter in any text you desire in the Description field and it will display on the Category Archives page. Tag archive pages are set at Settings > Default Titles & Meta > Tags

You can use the following fields also to pull in data:
    Categories
    %site_title% – set at Dashboard > Settings > General > Site Title
    %site_desc% – Set at Dashboard > Settings > General > Tagline
    %cat_name% – Category name

    Tags
    %site_title% – set at Dashboard > Settings > General > Site Title
    %site_desc% – Set at Dashboard > Settings > General > Tagline
    %tag_name% – Tag name

Unfortunately, we do not yet have a method for setting a custom description for each category. We may add this in a future release to allow you to pull in the category description, tag description, etc.

    Hi Steve,

Ok, let’s try a couple of things.

On the Settings > Default Titles & Meta > Tags
    Change %tag_title% to %tag_name%

Note that placeholders should have 1 “%” at the start and end of a placeholder not 2 “%%”

For taxonomies, you should be able to use %tax_name%.

These tags will ONLY work on the relevant tab. So %tag_name% only works for Tag Archive pages, etc.

Let me know if this works for you.

    Hi Steven,

This value is defined in the Settings > Default Titles & Meta section.
Can you pop me through a screen shot of this?

Also, can you email me through a link to the actual page? If it is the same domain name as before, I have that … so you can just email me through the folder structure to avoid any issues. Or simply reply to our last email chain on this.

    Thanks.

I understand what you are saying. We’ll add them back.
