In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Taking Alot Of ResourcesHi @trendbaze, could you try the following:
- Review the Jetpack feature modules and turn off any that you don’t need (see guide)
- Check the optimization tips on https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-boost/improving-your-site-speed-score/ to improve the site speed score and server usage resources
If you still need help, please clarify where and how you’re observing a high resource usage from Jetpack. Feel free to share some screenshots and/or error logs.
Hi @rocketsportsnetwork, Jetpack Sync is a tool that keeps your site’s data in sync with WordPress.com for features like Stats, related content, and others.
I notice that the site is using an outdated version of Jetpack, could you first update it to the latest version 13.1.3?
If there are still issues after the update, then try the following:
- Turn off any Jetpack feature modules that you don’t need (see guide)
- Start a manual sync under the WordPress.com dashboard, Settings → Manage your connection → Data synchronization, then click on “initiate a sync manually”.
Hi @chowardart, as we are in contact with you by email regarding this, I’ll close this thread to avoid duplicate work. Thanks.
Hi @oliverleon46, yes, you could grant access to the Stats for Authors, here’s the guide: https://jetpack.com/support/jetpack-stats/configure-jetpack-stats/#who-can-see-the-stats
And note that for authors to access these stats they’ll need to have a WordPress.com account connected to Jetpack.
Hi @garydee1977, the site doesn’t currently show connected to Jetpack. Could you try reconnecting it, then check https://wordpress.com/stats/email/opens/day/8906/127252719 will load.
Hi there, I checked your site, the Jetpack connection looks fine now.
Is everything else ok with your site? If so, feel free to set this thread to “Resolved”.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] AMP compatibility problemThanks for the info @onurparlar.
I checked with our team, we tried to remove as many compatibility warnings a possible back when Google was actively supporting AMP, but they’ve stopped pushing for it, and therefore, it’s less of a priority for us as well.
Per the Google reference on this link, AMP will no longer be necessary for stories to be featured in Top Stories on mobile.
Are there reasons you’re still using AMP? In what conditions are you getting an AMP view of the site? Have you considered removing AMP and see if the site performs better?

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] AMP compatibility problemThanks for checking, I see that the Jetpack configuration looks good now.
Have you had AMP and Jetpack installed for a while already? Or have you recently added one of them?
Did the error recently show up with the installation of a new plugin or some other site update? Or how long has it been happening?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Forced to use thisHi @utill, sorry to hear about the frustration.
I’d like to clarify some points and try to better understand your user case. Some WooCommerce features requires a WordPress.com connection, but not all of them require the Jetpack plugin, we have more details at https://jetpack.com/support/woocommerce-products-that-require-a-jetpack-connection/.
In the case of Google Listings &?Ads, it uses Jetpack services to initiate the connection to WordPress.com, but the Jetpack plugin is not required.
The setup wizard has a step to just connect to your WordPress.com account.Do you happen to recall where and when you got prompted to install the Jetpack plugin?
Were you configuring the store for yourself or a client?Hi @bellakaroo, I get that you want to use the WooCommerce app but don’t need all the features of the Jetpack plugin, that’s fair.
While a Jetpack connection is required for the WooCommerce app, note that you can turn off any Jetpack features that you don’t want from the Jetpack Modules page (see guide). I hope it helps.Hi @utill, (update), please ignore my previous message, I see you posted in a separate thread, and will reply there accordingly.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Search Terms not readingHi @trendbaze, we suspect the issue is happening due to how browsers handle traffic. Our team is aware and looking at how improve that.
Thanks for your feedback.Hi @insamyniac, with a Jetpack connection, anyone can follow your site through the WordPress.com Reader, and your site will only appear in the Sites search results.
A paid plan is required if you want your blog posts to be searchable via Tags, or if you want blog posts to appear in search results.
