In reply to: What can Plugin Developers See?O and please let me know what you find! I am very curious now. I totally trusted the guy before signing up and after the course until just recently when I started seeing these similar sites poping up.

In reply to: What can Plugin Developers See?Hi Snat, you actually have to sign up for the newsletter to download the plugin. But then they have a so called professional verison of the plugin which I had.
Inorder to get the pro. version you had to sign up for his membership site, which I did for 6 months and costed me almost $1,000.
But here is his site to sign up: undergroundtraininglab.com/mainplb.php
He will send you alot of emails about other offers, so just unsubscribe at the bottom after you download.

In reply to: What can Plugin Developers See?Its not me but I am suspicious of someone else that I was learning about niche marketing.
So I picked two decent niches, then loaded the plugins, and shortly after I see these other websites pop up out of no where with the same niche as me. I checked the WhoIs registration date and everything. And both of the layouts/wordpress themes are the same for both of the websites. Thats when I figured that someone might be spying on what I was doing. Coincidence, I think not, but you never know.
Is their anyway you can give me some guidance to detect whether their is actually some code in the plugin or not?

In reply to: Question about uploading url images! Thanks for the replys. I never really understood this since wordpress allows you to upload a image from another url. i would think that wordpress would say below it to make sure your abiding by copyright laws before uploading. By allowing that function some people, including myself might percieve it as its okay and legal.
I am aware of how it steals a bandwidth but I figured if it was another free wordpress.com blog then it might be okay.
I also always link back to its source. So is this still not okay?
I always just treated them as linking to a url. But as what you guys are saying is its still illegal, so I will remove them.

In reply to: Site Pinging — So Confusing — Please HelpWell, I don’t think that if a person has one problem that may look spammy such as excessive pinging, would be the end to the whole site anyway. Just make sure you correct the problem and gets some links pointing to it will get you back anyway.
Pingomatic submits to multiple sites including google which I think you understand. I believe XML Sitemap Generator does do the same thing to ping Google. If you go to the creator of the plugin’s site, he states that it pings when you make a post.
I hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

In reply to: Site Pinging — So Confusing — Please HelpYou have alot of good questions, some I can answer and others I would still like to know also.
1. You don’t need to add other pinging sites unless you want to ping more sites. I honestly think alot of them don’t even really do the pinging services. Make sure one pingomatic doesn’t ping the same place in your list. That would be double pinging and may be considered spammy.
2. WordPress automatically pings after you make a post, unless you checked the box to not let others to know about it.
3. I think it maybe possible that you got banned and I think it happended to me also. I wish someone told me about it beforehand. But if you have a plugin that prevents it from being pinged again, you should be okay- this is what the plugin “Max BlogPress Ping Optimizer” does. Does anyone know of another plugin that does the same thing?
4. I would like to know this also.
Also, one more tip. I also have a XML Sitemap Generator and in the settings area it has a “notify Google” section where it pings when a post is made. I unchecked this box to prevent the Sitemap Generator from pinging in addition to the “Update Services”. I haven’t got an answer from anyone if this double pings and makes it look spammy or not. But it makes sense that it would double ping so I unchecked it.

In reply to: Guest blog posters? Thanks Cristian, I am actually kinda new to this and the site doesn’t make alot of money, but its all a learning experience.
Its just one of my hobbies with an ebook geared to help people that other books don’t help with, but am planning on making it into a membership site. Either way its just a learning experience to establish my site across the web and learn how to interact with people with good seo.
The blog for my glass etching information is at https://www.glassetchingsecrets.com/blog/ .
It seems to be hard for me to network with other people that want to spread the audience and be a benefit to both parties with one way links and good quality content.
I’ll see how it goes, but let me know if you have any questions or critisism for success.

In reply to: A Second Call to ban MaxBlogPress pluginsHey Chip, I actually discovered your plugin before I saw your post here earlier today. I loaded it to my other blog but couldn’t find what I was supposed to do. From what I understand, is its supposed to install those plugins but could find a button to click and activate.
Maybe I missed it, so I’ll look again.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Guest blog posters?Really, I didn’t haven’t heard of them as much as you express. Where have you seen a bunch of other people doing this?
My blog niche is created personalized glass etchings, creating sports logos in glass mugs, names, glass art, and just craft type stuff.
I write for a bunch of other blogs and could get you promoted there: kinda like a PR with a link to your site.
