  • You are correct. I don’t know how I missed that, OR how we ended up with two calendars.

I will need to find out who is running the games@ calendar, and get rid of the other one.

Thanks a lot for your assistance. It is feeding now.

If you look at the “calendar” pager of our site, that lists all the events that are upcoming. Some are coming from the groups Facebook events (because so many people want to use this, instead of the Google calendar).

Since we are pulling these in as well, and it appears to be working, shouldn’t those show up as well?

Edit: I think I may have figured it out, by adding the secondary URL as a secondary calendar. Now, it sits trying to load. I’ll dig further into the forum and look for similar issues to see what was done to fix it.

I’m having the same trouble. When I first installed, I though the nearest event was too far in the future, but not any longer, since the next upcoming one is this weekend.

    Site: https://www.dbifgs.org/

I don’t appear to be getting any errors from the JavaScript console.

You can see the empty widget on the main page, as well as the calendar on its own page

Hope this helps, and I hope you can point me to what may be wrong if it is something on my end.

Ok, that is very odd. The problem has existed for the past few months, but I’ve not had time to actually dig into the issue other than to check all other browsers.

Now, it is working, and I don’t believe the plugin was updated in between the time I posted this, and today.

As far as using the adobe extension, I’m not actually using it with Chrome, in fact I had only one active at the time, which is a screenshot extension.

I’ll go ahead and mark this resolved. It’s strange, and may have been something in Chrome itself.

    Thanks for looking anyway.

Awesome! That will eliminate some worry on my part.

I’ll have to keep doing this it appears. The latest update (.49.4) replaced that bit of code on me.

At least it’s easy enough to fix once you know what’s going on. I’ll just have to ensure that I’m in the position to modify the .htaccess file immediately after updating until the problem goes away.

I just wanted to toss my own 2 cents worth here. I had the same issue as Jose. I noticed it after adding in another plugin, but removing it didn’t seem to help.

I followed some of his methods above, removing the Brute-Force block and changing the permissions to 404 and the problem has gone away. I had previously turned off the Login Security but the code was still present.

Hopefully, you’ll figure out why it is affecting only a few of us. Until then, we seem to have a solution of sorts.

Thanks AIT for all the work you’ve put into this, and thanks Jose for your fix.

Yea, I gave up waiting on an answer, and decided not to use the plug-in. Lack of support means it’s not worth my time.

I noticed the same thing, although until I read your post I didn’t realize what the issue was.

I’d really like to avoid using the reCAPTCHA with registered users, so hopefully there is an option to allow them to be able to send without using it if they are logged in.

I’ll be watching this post. ??

Ok. I’ll go through the list and weed it down. Nothing that I was trying to send should have been on that list, but who knows at this point.

    Thanks again.

Yes, yes I do, and that appears to be the issue.

I removed everything (it was quite the extensive list) and the form sends just fine, even with several times the number of words I was first attempting to send.

Do you think this is caused by the number of words in my list. I originally dug it up on the ‘net as a suggested list of “bad words” and quite frankly didn’t look at every single word. If this is the cause, can we make use of this at all?

Tried that, and received the same response. I was able to send a longer message than the last time, but it still marked a longer message as spam.

Here is a direct link to the contact page:

    https://wp.dbifgs.org/contact-us-2/

For now, I’ve removed all other contacts except mine from the drop-down. I want to have this working before I start using it for everyone (the board, the treasurer, etc).

Feel free to give it a shot. I’ve re-enabled all the plugins and my theme.

Oh, and it seem sot be not just limited to 99 characters. I tried earlier, and could only get a message of “this is a test please reply” to go through. Just now, I got an entire paragraph…

I kind of figured you would ask me to do that. I didn’t have a chance until today.

Unloaded all except CF7 and activated TwentyTen and had the exact same result.

    (@eric_the_grey)

The site is not yet live unfortunately. My theme is a custom child theme of Twenty-Ten Below is a list of my active plugins:

      Ambrosite Next/Previous Page Link Plus
      Ambrosite Next/Previous Post Link Plus
      Contact Form 7
      Custom Link Widget
      Dynamic To Top
      Easy FancyBox
      Email Log
      Force Post Category Selection
      MediaElement.js – HTML5 Audio and Video
      NextGEN Gallery
      Regenerate Thumbnails
      Simple Image Size
      Use Google Libraries
      WePay WordPress Plugin
      Weptile Image Slider Widget

All except the Email log will remain once the site goes live, and I may turn on Akismet if we have a problem with spam, but since it will be a limited use site. I will also more than likely add WPBackup and BPS Security.
