Fixed! The guy that runs my server is a godsend, he fixed it for me. He said something about there being something new in WP8 that doesn’t work as well for non-Apache servers? Not sure. He was pretty grumbly about the whole thing.

It’s not the menus, it’s the posts and pages themselves. [ie on the page “Edit post” you can click “view post” and if the permalink is on default, it works, but if it’s not, it doesn’t. And default permalinks are ugly.]

Update: Changing permalinks to default fixes the problem, but I can’t change it to anything else without incurring the wrath of the 404 gods.

Meh. I think with all the issues I’ll just switch themes.

(ETA: The font doesn’t show at all in Firefox on Mac)

(Side note: I’ve managed to smooth the font in every browser so far except Chrome on Windows 8. Any suggestions? It looks awesome in Chrome and Safari on Mac,and IE on Windows 8.)

I don’t have Oswald on the computer I’m working on. On a computer that does have Oswald, it’s working fine. But on mine, it’s not even reverting to my first back up, Open Sans.

The first one took a bit of tweaking, but everything else worked.
I’m still learning Firebug… it’s a bit intimidating. I found “Inspect Element” in Google Chrome to be a bit more user friendly, so far.
