Hi!

I did the first part of the conflict test:

-Switched to Storefront
-Cleared cache
-Disabled all plugins except WooCommerce
-Added product to cart
-Applied coupon

It worked. My cart did not do the auto-empty thing. The cart-checkout process seemed to be smoother and faster, too.

Moving on, I kept everything the same except I reactivated my theme. This is what happened:

1.) Added product to Cart.

2.) Entered coupon code.

3.) Clicked Apply Coupon.

4.) Message: Coupon successfully applied.

5.) Clicked Proceed to Checkout.

6.) Message: Your cart is currently empty.

So, it looks to me like my theme is causing the cart-emptying conflict? Am I interpreting this correctly?

What comes next?

@bekemarket – I had the same problem. Per @rahul020691’s suggestion, I manually updated the plugin, and the issue seems to be resolved.

Q: When attempting to reinstall the plugin manually via FTP, did you overwrite the plugin folder?
A: When reinstalling via FTP, I did OK overwriting maybe 2-3 files. I can’t recall which files they were, but I’m SURE I didn’t overwrite wp-content > plugins.

I’m using Yoast SEO 15.5 and WordPress 5.6. My PHP version is 7.3.23. My PHP memory limit is 768M. MySQL version is 5.6.40-84.0-log – Percona Server (GPL), Release 84.0, Revision 47234b3. I’m meeting the browser specs. (I’m not using Yoast Premium, so I didn’t check the Premium requirements in the plugin requirements link above.) For the record, Tools > Site Health is Good.

@mikealan – I am experiencing the same issue. I also updated to the latest version of WordPress (like maybe 1-2 days ago?). Starting today I can’t edit with the block editor, only classic.

I have tried:

-Deactivating and reactivating each plugin one by one.

-Migrating from Atomic Blocks to Genesis Blocks.

-Installing the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. My site health is good, per this plugin. With this plugin, you switch to a default theme (e.g., WP’s Twenty Twenty theme) and turn plugins on and off in troubleshooting mode. (Site visitors still see your desired theme and lose no functionality.) The block editor worked fine with all the plugins AND default theme – BUT – when I switched to MY desired theme in troubleshooting mode, the block editor broke again.

I’ve never had an issue like this with my desired (i.e., non-default) theme. My gut tells me it has something to do with the WP update, too.
