Thank you for your quick reply. As there was a “typo”*) in your code (I copied from mail, here in post the typo is not existing) I needed some time to get my site working after inserting the code. ??

BUT hooks to get your code working as intended in GeneratePress are made by users. And I really do not understand theese options well enough. So thanks für your help but at least for next weeks I have to return to User Access Manager where the news column works well as expected. So sorry.

At this moment there is so much (other) work to do. Maybe I come back later.

I’m not sure what you mean by “takes over the created user roles”. WP-Members doesn’t do anything with user roles.

English in not my mother tongue, sorry about. I just meant: Members does work with all the roles including the roles with UAM. In the meanwhile I know why.

So I think you’re seeking support here for another plugin.

A deeper look into the plugins showed me you are right. I was looking for support for “Members” not “WP-Members”. Uncle Google told me the wrong link. So sorry!

Or the number of the image? Like “the image 73/121” on page xyz?`

I see your point. You do not see my family: most of them using the family homepage is old enough to click a button but far to old to change their used ways in a digital world. So sorry to tell you.

But the other point is more interesting for me:

I imagine even with titles you still have to look for the image in your library anyway.

No, this way would be far to long to go for me. Haven’t I told that there are more than 8.000 images, a lot of them from hundred(!) year old sources? If I get the list I do not need any web. With the image title I can locate them directly in my archive. And there I export into the wanted image format and size.

Sorry, I didn’t want to bother you. I just asked because I am >70 and do not find everytthing in a second; just though I overlooked the options.

Lightbox with PhotoSwipe is a very nice plugin. But nobody can do the job in the right way for everybody. ??

Okay, tank you for reply. But then this plugin does not help me. Members of my family tell me, which of the images (in the not public family area) they want to get printed out. Therefore they (and I) need the title of the image (which is the name of the image file.

In this case there is no alternative text in the HTML code.

I am sorry to say, but I do not understand – even when looking to your example.

Does that mean it is not enough to define a Alt text for my images in the mediathek? I would have to edit the HTML text of all images in my posts/pages? There are more than 8.000 images on this website… (I know this is not you problem. ;))

Second problem I found:

If I check “Alternativen Text der Bilder als Bildunterschrift verwenden, wenn n?tig” the lightbox does not use Alt text when Title or Desription is missing. Bug or feature? ??

Thank you for information. ?? I have uploaded my po-file.

But there problem of this translation tool: It is made from English speaking programmers. German is “a litte bit” different to English. There are “German”, “German-Du” and “German-Sie” (beside local Idioms for Austria, German, Switzerland…). “German-Du” is used when you talk to closer friends and family, “German-Sie” is for all other people (in English there is only a common “You”). My Translation file is based to a German not using “Du” or “Sie”, means you can use it for al People not depending on closer relationship.

As I uploaded my file I could see now that translation result is a mixed up translation from differnt Autors using different German grammers. This Looks a litle bit curious for a German user. But, of course, you decide – it’s your plugin. ??
