Brian, I think your a little bit confused on the “Images were uploaded as ASCII” response.
When you upload with an FTP program you have 2 options of transfering:
ASCII mode or BINARY mode.
It has nothing to do with graphical files or whatever format they are.
You might want to double check the FTP program configuration and if its set to ASCII try changing it to BINARY or AUTOMATIC.
