Hmm, I can’t seem to edit my post, but after chatting with some people, I’m hearing that memcached’s 1MB limit may have gone away, actually.
If that’s the case, then it might be prudent to add a query size limit configuration to prevent a variety of very large queries from exhausting memcached’s available RAM and evicting stored values before they can be useful.
