Unfortunately, the main blog image moved up – I pushed it back down by increasing the wrapper size. Is there a better way to do that? This left a space at the bottom.

Where do I place that code?

All I did was thank you for being so very helpful. Apparently that’s not allowed, whereas the negative tone of your posts is.

The files are ABSOLUTELY NOT on the server I have access to – a computer expert just verified that for me. So there’s another server I have to find.

I was commenting on the fact that Darran said “IF you are hosting WordPress on your server” IF usually means that there is an OR – that’s what I was asking.

I do know how to check files on a server – they are not on the server I have access to, unless the folders are being somehow hidden.

Does that mean they could be hosted elsewhere? They’re not on his server as far as I can tell.

Here’s the situation: Eryk asked me to take over his WordPress site and its creator is no longer around.

So I have to find where these files live! I got ftp access to erykbui.com, and searched all folders, but the files are not there.

Could they be stored somewhere else? On a WordPress server or something?

How can I find them?

I’m stumped….

Thanks for all the help. I finally got onto his FTP site, but the wp-content directory was not there. I’ll have to figure out why not.

But I did find this page:

It would seem to indicate I can’t change the header on the Urban Stories theme that he’s using, right?

whooami, I certainly know from posting at other boards that not only cannot you not dictate the responses you get, but that posters on tech boards will often submit unpleasant posts if you ask a question with the slightest bit of naivete.

I was hoping that my post would encourage people with nothing helpful to say to just move on. I’m just trying to learn how to modify a template, and as I said, the “guides” here at WrodPress have not been helpful. I thought perhaps someone could point me to a more user-friendly guide.

mfields, thanks for your info. I’m not sure where the image lives – are all the WordPress files stored on his server or at a WordPress server?
