In reply to: [Postie] Automatic Mail Checks stopped workingHi – me again. I did what you said (deactivating and reactivating Postie) but I’m finding that Postie runs sporadically. I have Postie set to check for mail every 10 minutes. This never happens, although Postie sometimes gets the mail in a few hours. (Or sometimes not until I manually run it again.) Meanwhile, when I check on my cron jobs using Crontrol, the Postie mail check seems to be operating on schedule (supposedly running every 10 minutes.)
Is there any way I can diagnose what’s happening? I really depend on Postie for my site to run smoothly.
thanks!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Postie] Automatic Mail Checks stopped workingHi jmorty,
Thanks for your input – I’m trying to write my own cron event but not really sure how to do it. Do you know a function I can use to run the postie mail check? I saw the URL I need to hit in the article Wayne sent, but I don’t know what the PHP function is to actually hit that URL.

In reply to: [Postie] Automatic Mail Checks stopped workingTo follow up:
I installed WP Crontrol to view and manage my cron events. Postie is listed there (“check_postie_hook”) and set to recur every 5 minutes, although for “Next Run” it always says “now” and lists a time in the past. Not sure why that would be.Anyway, supposing it’s just not working, it looks like I could add a set up a new cron job by providing a function. Do you know what the function could be to get Postie to check its mail?
thanks!

In reply to: [Postie] Automatic Mail Checks stopped workingThanks for getting back to me! So my Test Config in Postie settings said “Cron: On” – is there nothing else i can try before going to a third party service? (I don’t think my host will let me do the last option in the article – Managed WordPress says “Its hosting back-end does not come with a control panel, so tools like Cron jobs are not available”)

In reply to: [Postie] 1.5.20 – Tags no longer savingThe same thing happened to me. The tags are “absorbed” from the text in the body of an email, but they are not actually added to the post as tags. Can you please offer a fix fast? My site is not longer being tagged automatically as I need to happen.
Thank you!!!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Google Maps All In One] Map Options won't display properlyHi! So far, so good. I did run into one issue though.
Is it possible to alphabetize the list of markers that appears beneath a mashup map? Each marker represents a business name, so organizing them by title is necessary for my users (ordering by date posted is irrelevant to them). Thanks!

In reply to: [Google Maps All In One] Map Options won't display properlyOK, it looks like that was a corrupted download. I downloaded again from a different browser and it installed fine. I will hopefully get this plugin running without a problem tomorrow and then I will close the ticket. Thanks!

In reply to: [Google Maps All In One] Map Options won't display properlyHello,
So I downloaded the premium version, but now I can’t install it. When I try to upload the .zip file via my plugins admin area, I get this error:The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

In reply to: [Google Maps All In One] Map Options won't display properlyHi! I disabled the theme and all other plugins. Same problem.
HOWEVER, I just looked at the details page of the plugin and noticed that it’s only compatible up to WordPress 3.4.2 and “hasn’t been tested in my current version of WordPress”! Guess that would explain why it worked fine on my local site with WP 3.5.2 but not my current site with WP 3.6!
I went to the “premium” version page and your site says that version is compatible up to WP 3.6.1. I would like to buy that version and hopefully it will work fine.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Google Maps All In One] Map Options won't display properlyHi,
I don’t believe so – and I tried deactivating all of them just to make sure. Still had the same problem. For reference, the Map Options button works fine on my local site which has the same theme and plugins. The local site has WordPress 3.5.2 while the site experiencing problems has WordPress 3.6. Not sure if that helps.
thanks!
