It’s just that in other menu items it’s not necessary to hover over the “menu image” blue button. It was necessary in this case, don’t know why.

So, yes, I think that your suggestion would be a good idea.

Ok. Just in case this happens to someone else and it helps:

In order to add the image, I was clicking on the menu item (in my case a custom link). When I clicked on it, the page went grey and nothing happened.

Today I realised that just by hovering over the item you can see a blue “menu image” button. Click on that instead and it will take you to the screen where you can select and customise your image.

I hope it helps if someone encounters the same problem.

when you click on add image and a new window pops up, you’ll see several options. Title position is the first one. Just choose “hide” and the text will not show.

I had to revert to version 3.4.8 which is the last one that allowed templates to be imported. None of the later versions allow it, unless the feature “Enable unfiltered file uploads” is turned on, which clearly states that implies there are security risks involved. Not very helpful, tbh.

I can’t believe that this issue has still not been even addressed and, bearing in mind the time and versions passed, I honestly do not think it will ever be. Thank you so much.

I have reopened this thread because the issue is still unresolved. Is someone from the Elementor team going to respond??

Thanks for your reply. Then I hope the JSON template issue is soon resolved.

Regarding your instructions, as I said to Michelle earlier (please read above), since enabling the unfiltered file uploads is somewhat risky, I prefer to stick to the 3.4.8. version until the issue is resolved.

I’ll see what interim solution works best for me, bearing in mind that I have about 13 domains with the same problem.

One last thing before closing the thread: is the development team working on this bug? I’ve had a look at the changes log of the latest 3 updates and haven’t seen anything that makes me think that the issue has been addressed. The only thing that appears on the changes log that remotely refers to THIS importing issue is:

Fix: SVG and JSON files were not being uploaded when Dragged from Desktop (#17194)

However this is not the problem. Files are not being uploaded, full stop. ?? Hence my question, is someone working on fixing this?

it clearly says that enabling unfiltered file uploads involves security risks. What if something ocurrs while uploading my template(s)? I really don’t want to risk it. Moreover, if I did this on all websites I need, I’d have to remember to disable this feature after uploading all files on all domains, right?

Shouldn’t this be fixed without having to go through this step, as it was before 3.5.0.? I think I’d rather stick to 3.4.8. and wait till bug is fixed, unless you can assure me that there is no risk by enabling unfiltered file uploads as it states on Settings.

No, I haven’t. It has been released after I posted the above. Has it been resolved in this new version?

Just as I feared. I was wondering if there was a way to make it NOT pull from the site branding. Ok, I’ll tell my friend this can’t be changed unless we changed the site branding.

… I’m still not convinced, since I need to stop at certain stages of the height of the page in order to see the images. See, I’m not worried about me, but about the users. I can’t see them doing this as to be able to see the images. They will probably scroll quickly and see there are none, although there are… I don’t know if I’m explaining myself…

Do you know if the lazy load function might be in my WP Super Cache plugin and where?

No, it doesn’t when I scroll, that’s the problem! I go right to the bottom of those pages and see no images at all… until I hover my mouse again.

I will let the topic open to see if somebody can came up with some ideas…
