In reply to: Trackbacks: manual WP install vs. FantasticoI jsut tested it.. you can delete the comment I left. If your comments are being held for moderation… then are the trackback posts being held for moderation too?
And as far as outgoing trackbacks…
SDo you mean when you post say a comments on a page referring to like my site? and you put my tackback to that article in your trackback box where it says
Send trackbacks to:IE: try writing a new post, and
in the Send trackbacks to: put

– Something that automatically adds adsense WITHIN posts, with the post text wrapped around it.You wanna be careful aobut that one! If you insert an add in every post, then you could have more than 3 ads per page depending on what page you are looking at – archives, front page, category etc. adsense says they will only accept 3 ads per page.
So, you wanna be careful where you turn off and on the ads. The best way i found to deal with it was post 2 ads on the side of the theme
and have a 3rd ad only display on a post WHEN it is views in full.
or 3 ads in side of template and none in posts
or ads between posts.
but not to display the add on every post. – unless you display only 3 posts per page… then you might be too short for word count to link ratio if , of if you use something like post teaser where it shows the 1st Xamount of words on a page till you click on the full page.
SEO is a whole horse of a differnt hue. i have been concentrating on that and learning, reading, researching, practicing it for the last few years..
content is the king no matter what you do, but a lot of the plugins I posted in that page earlier i use for SEO purposes.. I could write a brief page or two on that with wordpress if it would help. But, i am no 100% expert.

In reply to: Meta data doesn’t always workAnd the ones with no meta data, the link to the article opens a blank page, whereas the ones with the meta data open the actual article
about:blank for ones w no meta data

In reply to: One column templatesIt would depend on how you set the template up. you can still make menus (like maybe one across the top?) that would have all that. Therefore you click on them and you have archives, etc.

In reply to: WordPress problems! 2 problems!I guess it would depend on the server and how you are uploading files to it. I am runnining my webserver off of a linux box.
I can use a shell to goto the directory and CHMOD the file itself. Or, I can use an FTP program (LeechFTP. CuteFTP. Ws-FTP etc) to upload the files to the server, then right click on the file and set the permissions from “Permissions” in the menu by checking whichever permissions I want to give the file – READ WRITE and or EXECUTE.
By permissions, I meant permissions of the .htaccess file itself, not what it has in it to do.
